Lunch specials are great prices, had the turkey BLT wrap. Bacon was crispy and light delicious taste of the overall wrap. Love the waffle fries and french onion soup. Good choice of beers on tap. Mike the bartender was very friendly and quick service. Stop by here after the fall activities at Ort Farm.

Oh my god. First perfect burger I’ve ever had in my entire life. If you ask for medium rare it is literally cooked perfectly to that. I really enjoyed the food. The potato skins were amazing too. When I am in the area again- I will definitely come back.

Stopped in for some much needed eating after a hike on the Black River Trail. We were seated quickly and ordered a couple burgers. Everything was delicious and we were quite ravenous. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a bite if in the area!

My husband and I have looking for a low key burger and beer spot. I have to say everything we ordered was excellent. The burger was cooked medium rare as requested, the pickles were awesome, the traditional wings were some of the best I’ve had in a while with a custom home made red chili hot sauce. The French onion – not too sweet and just delicious. The waffle fries and tots were good. We’re definitely coming back.

What a hidden gem! Fantastic burgers and fries. Cooked to perfection. The peanut butter pie dessert was divine. The atmosphere was cozy and fun. The service was friendly and fast. Much better than any of our local diners. We’ll be back!

I worked nearby for a year and although wanting to stop in, I was never able to. I came by the other day and found that the service was very welcoming and the atmosphere was very warm and pleasant. The food was delicious and had a nice selection of beer on draft. If you’re visiting the mill across the street you should stop in for lunch, it’s worth your time!

Stopped by Old Mill Tavern — a nice little place with a whole lot of heart, just down the road from Alstede Farms.
Food:
I had the Garlic Buffalo wings and the Buffalo chicken sandwich. The wings were outstanding!great size, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. The sandwich, however, had way too much blue cheese for my taste (more blue cheese than sandwich), but the steak fries were excellent and made up for it.
Service:
Service was okay overall but a bit slow to start, as it took a while to be helped. Once things got moving, the staff was polite and helpful, though timing could definitely be improved.
Aesthetic:
The tavern has a lot of character with a cozy bar vibe and a decent amount of seating. I really liked the personality of the space, and it’s worth noting there are two entrances — the front one is the way to go.

First and last time going to this place. We had to stand up TWICE to get the attention of the waitress because all she was doing was talking with the other ones in the bar, are workin or socializing???and not enough with that Food wasn’t that good, my ribs were cold in the middle, the place wasn’t even that busy and took forever.

First time here. I did not get that cozy welcome feeling when I first got there but I can live with that, don’t need to be pampered. After a bit it felt better. Without a doubt a locals place so I get it. Lots of great beers on tap – IPA and my red ales so I was happy. Wing sauce was great! Asked for crispy and they came out good, not overdone. Definitely a good wing. Lots of atmosphere to bring in. I know nothing about the history, etc but lots of those cop/firehouse things on the wall. Pardon my ignorance there but I think it’s extremely cool. Other orders looked good and busy for a Tuesday. I will go back because the steak looked yummy!

Probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. Garlic chicken wings were ginormous and perfectly saucey. Friendly fast service even though they were packed on a beautiful fall day! We were so hungry we didn’t take pictures of the food!
