I ordered a 16 inch pizza, 1/2 cheese and 1/2 sausage with light amount of onion, on Saturday evening, Nov 29, close to 7 pm. They gave me a time frame to pick it up and I was 10 minutes. So, I paid for my pizza, and browsed thru the wall of comics while waiting. When i walked in, there was no one else there, and they weren’t in the process of making any orders. One person came in a bit later and picked up their order, and then a couple of other people came in and placed orders while I was waiting. My point being that they were NOT busy at this time, there were 2 of them working, and I was right there. It’s not like they were waiting for me to arrive before pulling my pizza from the oven.
My first clue that something was wrong was the smell coming from the box, while in the car driving. It was not pleasant, and certainly didn’t make my mouth water with the thoughts of pizza smells and taste.
When I opened the box at home, I saw why. Several large areas of clearly burnt cheese, and at least half of the remaining cheese was brown, instead of the usual off-white, and not appealing.
I was really hungry so thought I’d still hope for the best and took one of each kind from the box. As you can guess, it tasted burnt, and the crust was so dried out on the bottom it tasted like cardboard.
There is No Way that the person cutting the pizza and putting it in the box did not see (and, likely, smell) how over-cooked and partially burnt this pizza was. I was right there; he could have easily asked me if I was okay with that, and offer to make me another one, if I was not. Instead, he says nothing and sends me home with it, like, somehow, I wouldn’t see, smell and taste how awful it was???
I don’t know if they “just” over-cooked it… or if it might have already been previously cooked as a cheese pizza, and, as they weren’t very busy, thought they’d just add sausage and onions to half of it and reheat it, or what they did! But there is No Way that pizza should have ever been served or sent out of their restaurant.
I don’t get to treat myself to pizza often, and I was really looking forward to it. What a waste this was of $25, and food. It ended up in the trash.

Such great customer service. I think it was the owner who took my order… he’s super friendly. Best pizza on island! They sell by the slice or you can get a pie. The garlic knots are delicious too. Love supporting this place whenever I’m here

Good New York style pizza! Decently priced per slice and they are huge. I had them cut 2 into 4 slices to share with the side. The pepperoni is really good. Crunchy dough! Clean taste. The garlic knots are so good! The service is great and the tv’s are huge. It’s also air conditioned.

I stopped in for a slice on a Sunday at lunch time. I was delighted that they had six varieties of pie in the case and even a Sicilian style pie (in the oven) for me to chose from! With many carnivore and vegetarian options, I went with a slice of veggie and a cheese slice. The crust was perfect, crispy NY style. The veggie slice was delicious with hefty amounts of every imaginable kind of vegetable. But the cheese slice was even better! The simplicity allowed the amazing flavor of the impeccably seasoned sauce to really be appreciated. The bubbly young lady who served me said the owners are from New York. I believe it! You can taste the authenticity in every bite!

After a long, tiring day of travel, I wanted something quick and easy and pizza sounded good. This place was close to my hotel, so I ordered dinner. The pizza was absolutely delicious, the crust was perfectly chewy with a nice crunch. I also grabbed a few new comic books for the plane ride home. The service was fantastic as well. Highly recommend!

This was such awesome pizza!! We went later after watching the sunset. Got to talk to the owner. What an awesome guy! Well we assume he was the owner. New York style pizza on the big island! When we talked to him he said some many years is making pizza in NY moved to the island and opened a pizza place! Didn’t disappoint. Would go back in a heart beat!! Us from Saskatoon Canada loved your pizza and the hospitality! Keep up the great work!

In times where everything is costing more, why does it continually feel like we are getting less!?
I made an online order on Thursday evening at about 6:45 was given a 7:30 pick up time.
I started with the base cheese pizza ($23.00) and added chicken ($3.20), bacon ($3.20), mushrooms ($2.70), black olives ($2.70) and garlic (.99).
My total bill was just over $45.00 bc online they seem to automatically include a 20% gratuity in which I didn’t want to spend additional time figuring out if I could change the tip amount so I went with it. When I got to the shop to pick up my pizza it was ready and waiting for me which I was appreciative of. However, when I got it back home and opened the box I was underwhelmed.
The toppings were sparse and there were huge bald spots on each slice exposing just a light layer of cheese.

It made my heart sink because even though pizza is one of my favorite treats it’s not often that I order it and indulge. So when I do, and especially when I pay $45.00 for it, I want it to be everything good. Very disappointing and definitely didn’t win my business or recommendation.
