I came here with my friend 11/25/23 and I just wanna state the food is so delicious the customer service was absolutely impeccable, the atmosphere was quite, the seating was arranged well and the place was clean. This would be a great date spot. I can’t believe I’ve been in Chicago for more than a decade and I’ve never been here. Definitely now at one of my top middle eastern restaurants to eat in the city me and my friend started off with the lentil soup and some Jerusalem tea ☕️ the lentil soup was just what me needed in November chilly weather and the tea was freshly made up to the serving plate for it was beautiful. I ordered the chicken kebab entree and loved it! The portions are generous. Great dining place.

I had the falafel bowl, and the lentil soup. The Jerusalem salad was OK 8/10.
The hummus was the worst part. It wasn’t necessarily nasty. It was just meatier taste. I don’t know if it was cumin or what 6/10.
The pita bread was all right 8/10.
Falafels weren’t the best, but at least they weren’t hard 7/10.
The rice was cooked right? But not very seasoned 7.3/10.
The lentil soup was all right. I did notice a lot of water with it. I am not sure if it just diffused that way because of the lentils. When you miss it, it is slightly thicker 8.9/10.
Very kind, staff attention to detail. I just wish the hummus was better. That is one of the main parts of dishes! Hey, if you guys are reading this Potbelly’s sandwich shop literally has better hummus!

This restaurant is spacious, has delicious food and good customer service. I recommend the chicken kabobs, falafel, and lentil soup. Unfortunately I did not get a picture of the falafels- they disappeared rather quickly. 🙂

This was our first time there but definitely will not be the last. Looking for somewhere to eat, I used my Groupon app to search for something Middle Eastern and hopefully nearby. Luckily, we found both. Apparently we have driven by this place so many times as we live about 15 minutes away so in Oak Park, not realizing it ever existed.
When we arrived and opened the door, we were happy to see a clean and nicely decorated establishment with several dinners there even on a Saturday afternoon at 4:45pm. The waitress who attended us was very friendly. After looking at the menu we decided to start with a couple appetizers, the ubiquitous hummus and a simple salad of cucumbers and yogurt; both delicious and the hummus presented beautifully with tomato and thin sliced pickles on the cardinal points on the plate. Both were served with very hot grilled pita slices.
We each ordered an entree consisting of a beef kofta, and chicken shawarma. Both entrees consisted of a very tasty smoky yellow rice, grilled onions, tomato and jalepeno. Both entrees like the appetizers, were aesthetically presented, had an inticing aroma that made you want to immediately dive in and the taste of both dishes surpassed the aroma.
The servings were ample and the prices extremely reasonable independent of the Groupon deal and the entire experience is worth participating if ever near Belmont and Narragansett.

Fabulous Middle Eastern grill. The spice and preparation is spot on. Portions are large and the price is reasonable. I highly recommend Jerusalem Grill for a casual Mediterranean experience. Excellent service and clean diner.
