I don’t fully get why this isn’t rated higher. Perhaps the price? Because the food is lovely—very fresh, high-quality ingredients, and great flavour combinations. We had the avocado hummus and the California tomato pizza. Both excellent! Amazing leopard spotting on the pizza, and a lovely fresh tomato sauce. Service was good, too, really friendly staff and our food came out very fast. Slightly pricy, but worth it.

While the prices are very, very steep, you can recognize the quality in the ingredients. The meyer lemon pizza was good (would love to try another one of their options), the beet salad was simple and fresh, the New York strip was cooked well but wasn’t anything special, and the broccoli was a nice accompaniment.

The space itself is very dim lit but has a nice vibe as well as loads of different seating options. Our main server (dark haired woman) was so, so sweet and really put effort into making sure that we were having a pleasant time! Would recommend.

We used to love this place. Farmshop is touting their “new menu,” and we went on a Sunday, when they were not too busy, and tried many dishes. The chicken is now fried, rather than deliciously roasted in the wood-fired oven. It arrives on a plate of Brussels sprouts that appear to be blended and dumped on the plate in an an oily slurry. The “smashed potatoes” used to be great, but now they are soggy rather than crisp, and hidden under a pile of shishito peppers. The Moroccan carrots, which used to be caramelized, appeared to just be boiled whole, with a couple of date pieces tossed onto the plate. Worse, our server Jesse mostly ignored us, and seemed to be sneering whenever she stopped by. (I don’t require a smile, but this seemed downright hostile.) Since we had barely eaten, she offered boxes to take the food home. I hope I might rescue some of the food as leftovers. When she brought a bag, she put it on the floor under the table by our feet. Upon unpacking it at home, we found that everything on the table had been smashed into a single paper box. The chicken, of course, had no chance of retaining its crispness, since it was covered with liquified sprouts and soggy vegetables. Gross. An expensive disappointment.

Loved this experience. The drew down the shade on the patio and the table was in a private area that still had a beycool breeze. The service was fantastic, constantly topping up the ice water and the food was unique and delicious. Honestly couldn’t ask for more

It’s incredibly popular, for some reason. The location is great, but the cheapest entree on the lunch menu was a $23 pastrami sandwich; without a doubt, it was the greasiest thing I’ve eaten in recent history. It took me a minute to identify the paste-like potato salad that came with it. Excellent bread, but I can’t say I enjoyed eating there all that much.

Cool space. Visually very cool! And nice layout. Food was solid. Recommend the oysters, and pizza. Chicken rice dish was solid, but not great. Kombucha was cool, but not mind blowing. A bit pricey for the portions. Loved the host; she was able to help me with a table last minute with no res. Thank you!!!! Server was solid; team service in some ways. Bar with food service, cool open kitchen, and plenty of tables. Private room for events and an amazing covered patio!

Just steps off the San Francisco ferry, Farmshop is the perfect reward for a trip across the bay. Located in the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur, it blends that easy California vibe with polished, farm-to-table dining and a little splash of city sophistication.

The menu changes with the seasons, but everything feels vibrant and thoughtful. The smoked salmon was especially memorable — fresh, layered with flavor, and beautifully plated. Cocktails are top-notch, and the service matches — friendly, attentive, and effortless.

Grab a seat on the patio if you can — it’s perfect for people-watching and soaking up the Marin sunshine. A great spot to shop, sip, and linger.

The food was very good. Super appetizers (we had avocado “hummus” and chicken mousse, plus “crudites”), juicy chicken. However the prices are outrageous. You pay for bread ($7), and as one extra profiterole was added for the table as we were celebrating a birthday- add $3. Nothing is gifted. Side dishes: add to the already high price.
Plus almost too attentive service, replenishing wine glasses even when not requested, so we could order more!
The decor is nothing to write home about.

We were visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this true treasure! The atmosphere was elegant, yet relaxed. The food was spectacular! The best fresh pasta I’ve ever had. Strongly urge you to try the Mount Shasta Morel Mushroom pasta!! And the service was positively exceptional! Our server Courtney eloquently described everything on the menu. He also had an incredible personality and genuine warmth and kindness. Overall, I couldn’t give a higher recommendation to anyone visiting Marin.

Seriously a hidden gem at a suburban mall with fresh farm to table food. We shared several dishes and one was better than the next. The sticky bun and smoked salmon were standouts. There was a farmers market going on right outside the restaurant which fit in perfectly with the theme. Fantastic stop leaving from SF and headed out for wine tasting.
