No other restaurant in the Lebanon/West Lebanon/Hanover area provides better comfort food than Shryl’s diner. Perfectly prepared, high-quality meals at low comparative pricing, served fast and with large portions, HOT! Add to that, this family run diner has the most attentive, cheerful, totally customer oriented, family staff. Even the one long hired waitress is so dedicated and efficient, as are the family staff. I have eaten here for years and absolutely love it. Sheryl herself is the open grill charge and owner and she is an absolute expert. Clean, friendly premises, food heaven inside!

We work nights, so it’s been challenging to find late night/early morning spots for cravings. One Sunday, we were so happy to find Shyrl’s Diner opens at 5am and decided to drive down and give it a try. We were kicking ourselves for not finding out about this well-kept treasure sooner! They had ample free parking beside the building. As soon as we entered the diner, we were immediately greeted and felt at home with yummy smells reminiscent of grandma’s kitchen. The atmosphere was very cozy and the locals that dined early are on first-name basis with Shyrl and Deb.
We ordered the biscuit and sausage gravy special and corned beef hash with eggs, which were both so yummy and hit the spot! The portions are huge to just right if you’ve missed a meal or two. I highly recommend choosing one of their freshly baked bread (white or wheat), which comes out perfectly toasted and buttered. We also loved the hot and crispy tots.
We felt very taken care of during our visit and would definitely return in the future! Thanks Shyrl and Deb for making us feel at home!

I loved it!! We are from VT and stopped to have breakfast, good prices, amazing food, the server was very sweet! I loved how cozy the restaurant felt! I’d definitely want to come back!

The food was about average for this small town restaurant. I do feel it had a very small town, New Hampshire feel especially by the looks i received by walking into the restaurant. I ordered an omelet that’s well crafted, the home fries were not as crispy as I liked, and the pancake lacked flavor.

If you love a classic diner feel, service and food then this is your place. And the prices are ridiculously fair! The service was exceptional, all the women were friendly, taking jokes and dealing jokes with customers. They were prompt and professional. Shyrl herself was actually back at the grill making EACH order! And she really cares about what she’s doing and the food she’s making. I could taste the love in each bite. I paid $20 for 2 whole meals, coffee and a pancake. Unheard of prices in today’s world. I made sure to tip extra because I could afford to with prices like that. The space is a little tight and cozy but all the kind people around you make it feel welcoming. I will definitely come back and recommend you try it out too it’s not by any means “fancy” looking on the inside but it doesn’t need to be. It could use a little paint and remodeling but it’s a diner, a perfect one

5 stars are not enough, how about 5000? We loved the small town feel. It feels like you walked into the theme song from Cheers. Food was delicious with affordable, before COVID prices. Would go again if we could stay longer.

Came here for breakfast and were very happy with our choice. Had a very local vibe. Very reasonable prices with large portions. The homemade toast, pancakes, French toast and corned beef hash were all great.
We got the last table and service was pleasant and quick. Well worth the slight detour off the highway.

What a delicious breakfast. They had the tater tot casserole today and let me just say, WOW! I swear they have someone’s grandma back there whipping out homemade deliciousness. The homemade toast is amazing too. Add in the fact that their prices are extremely reasonable and it’s the total package. We WILL be back, many times.

An amazing place. Food is so good, and big portions. The homemade bread is outta sight!! Waitress was awesome. Like she read our minds anytime we needed something she was there without asking. Small place and cozy. Was able to hold a conversation without much trouble. Stop and try it!!
