We are always happy to make the 2 hour drive to here because it is so worth it, AND love to bring new patrons with us.
our Friday night could not have been better- basil, lemonade and Titos were so refreshing-
We tried the grilled octopus as an appetizer and it blew us away- so delicious and unique
We had lobster rolls and crab cakes after that and boy oh boy they didn’t disappoint! Everything was so perfect- the staff was fabulous- the chef even came out to see how we liked the meal- to make our evening even more delightful Airborne Attraction was playing in the parking lot- they are so fun and talented!
Thank you Bait & Hook for a tremendous night!
Alfredo or at least an option seeing how this place is called “bait and hook” – I received my Alfredo and wow was that a joke to say the least . The tiny cubed chicken that could have passed for can chicken was horrible not to mention the noodles are these tiny spiral noodles and also served in a very tiny cast iron pan topped with lots of panko crumbs and with a very tiny bread stick on top – I’ve gone to Pizza Hut that’s has better chicken Alfredo not to mention it’s $24 . I will never waist my money there again ! Everyone was so nice and understanding but wow this place is definitely a façade.. with their food .I ended up leaving and going somewhere else that was way better and definitely cheaper .
It was our first time at Bait and Hook, and we went on a Saturday. We arrived just as the restaurant was opening, but we didn’t have a reservation. The hostess promptly and politely informed us that the restaurant was already fully booked for the night. However, because we arrived early, there was still time for us to enjoy our experience.
We were seated quickly, and the waitress introduced herself, providing excellent customer service. The food was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the bang bang shrimp, which has a bit of a spicy kick if you enjoy some heat. The calamari was spectacular, although I would have added a bit more salt (but that’s just my preference).
My husband ordered the lobster with roasted potatoes and asparagus, while I had the Surf and Turf. The chargrilled steak was very tender, paired perfectly with a fresh and succulent lobster tail. The drinks, atmosphere, service, and food were all outstanding. The kitchen chef visited each table twice to check on our experience, which added a nice touch.
We noticed many people ordering the crab cake, which left us eager to try it on our next visit. We had a fantastic night of celebration. Thank you, Bait and Hook Team, for making our anniversary special.
