TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I have tried all the chicken from medium to reaper and they all taste amazing but let me start this review by saying the reaper is not for the faint of heart. I’ve tried many places versions of hot over the years but never had anything as hot as reaper. I thought it was a joke when the waiver popped up on the screen but now I know why, I swear I had lava in my stomach after the first slider was down. The crazy part is that despite the insane heat of this sandwich, I couldn’t stop eating it because it’s that good. Medium is great tasting but not hot enough for me so I’ve found that the hot version is the one for me. I usually get the coleslaw I place of fries and add a bit more to my sliders. The hot has just enough heat to satisfy me but not too much like the reaper. The two slider combo in hot is the perfect meal in my humble opinion. I found that they all have a great flavor regardless of what heat level you prefer. The staff is always good and get my orders right every time without fail. The fountain valley location is in a nice spot and easy to find. This is officially my favorite chicken restaurant without a doubt and I’ve got my meal figured out and get the same thing every time. Ordering is easy from the kiosk even if you have a special order. I love this place!

Chicken tastes yummy and fries are seasoned well. Shakes are always really good. Definitely my go-to chicken place. Food is always ready for pick up and correctly packaged. They also give a lot of pickles!

Talk about friendly and amazing Staff! My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try out Daves for a while now and the new Fallout Promotion that just came out convinced us. We’d heard that they tend to sell out quickly so before we left the house we called to see if there was any availability left on the saucy survival kit. Destiny answered the phone and let us know she only had 3 left in stock. She agreed to hold 2 for us if we made it in 15 minutes and sure enough, they were there waiting for us. Worst daves chicken I’ve been too. So I paid extra for cheese fries & well do these look like cheese fries! They were also cold! Also, apparently this daves chicken is very stingy with their sauce with a store policy of only 3 sauces in to total which isn’t much when you have 3 big tenders & fries. Charges 3.25 for extra sauce. The guy gave me attitude when I requested for more sauce.

I love it. First time having hot chicken at Dave’s and it did not disappoint. Mild and medium levels were not spicy enough for me.

Not really sure if Adrian is just slow or if he did this on purpose. After I already placed my order and paid he asks me ” what flavors did you get again” in my head im just like what is wrong with this kid I just paid and placed my order. I just showed him the receipt and tried to not get mad. But than I get my food and he gave me the wrong flavors ! Like how ?? These are both mild at best im not sure whats going on this is ridiculous. And I didn’t order one with no cole slaw how does he even make that up I asked for extra cole slaw.
