Cozy restaurant with delicious, quick food, and a wait staff that clearly cares about their diners. My waitress always had a warm smile and was regularly greeting the other customers by name as they came in. My breakfast (the #3) was wonderful too.
EDIT: This place is closing its doors for good this coming Sunday (7/15). If you’ve been looking for a great diner or have been thinking of visiting you have two days. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely love this place. The food is amazing and the staff literally is one of a kind. They have that small town appeal and I love it. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good food and great service.

I have been there twice. Second time was to allow redemption for the not very good first visit. Food was good, the first time. Service was abysmal, and there were only a few tables. Second visit for breakfast took 45 minutes, with only two other tables there. The waitress apologized that our order had been lost, and didn’t charge us. Food wasn’t good second time. It was just a bad visit so no redemption.

Service is outstanding, especially in the morning!!! The food is really good, especially the fries. The special seasonings makes them delicious. If you are in Pekin this is a must stop for breakfast! While you are there, you can sign up for their texting club and get great offers that day off your meal!

We went on Friday evening only to find them closed. Back on Sunday morning to us vouchers purchased on line. We bought two vouchers ($10 value for $5). After eating they said only one voucher per ticket. We had them make separate tickets for my wife and myself so they would take both vouchers. Our tickets were less than $9 each so you would think the bill was paid for. No, we not only did not get any change, which was understandable, but they proceeded to say we owed tax on each ticket. When questioned the response was, “What, do you want us to pay the tax.” Really poor management!! We won’t be back!!! Stupid that they don’t put hours on the vouchers, have to write two tickets, and made us pay tax on the tickets!!!

On long trip from Poland. Visited this place today. Don’t know what these misreble people are talking about in here. This place is great.
Good price, great food, superb people working there and place has some nice history too.

Best food in Pekin. Far better than Ernie’s and Cobbler Corner for breakfast. I am considered a regular, because the food is so good! They have cheap breakfast specials for $5, and their sausage links they get from a farm locally. Their messes which are considered a scramble or skillet other places is to die for. My favorite is the inside out burger, which is cheese on the inside and out. Sometimes it can be overseasoned, but either way its still really tasty. Their onion straws and homemade fries kick butt!
