In last September we stopped at Duck Point Smokehouse during our trip to Alaska and we were blown away! We enjoyed smoked Alaskan salmon dip and grilled Alaskan salmon while looking out over the water and mountains – absolutely stunning.

We loved this place! Gorgeous location on the water, delicious, fresh, wild caught Alaskan halibut. Mmmm. Super recommend. Might ask for lighter on the lemon pepper seasoning. Cooked to perfection. Wow! Best food we ate in Icy Straight Point. I was skeptical because it’s the first restaurant as you walk off the gangplank. I thought it might be mid-quality. Nope. Great food. Great service.

We had a very nice grilled halibut sandwich, buffalo burger, reindeer chili and fries. The burger was a little too well done for my liking, but it still tasted fantastic. The star of the show was the halibut sandwich. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. There is a lovely patio with a fire pit overlooking the ocean. We saw a whale about 50 meters away from their patio. Keep an eye out for bald eagles.

The salmon and the halibut of this restaurant is just excellent. It is very great. The price is quite high but it’s still quite reasonable. The food is excellent, the service is very good, and the place is wonderful.
From the restaurant you can freely see the sea and the view from the restaurant is just amazing. The restaurant has good seating and the seatings are excellent. The service of the restaurant is excellent.
The restaurant is located very close to the excursion center and the green gondola.

The halibut sandwich was recommended by the zip line dudes. It’s was super good, we also got the dip and the chowder which where awesome too. The fish options are fresh and tasty but the location is breathtaking. Try to get a table outside to get the whole experience!

Before boarding our Disney Cruise, we made our final stop at Duck Point Smokehouse, and it was the perfect way to end our journey! We enjoyed pepperoni pizza, drinks, sandwiches, and my personal favorite—the Alaskan Halibut. It was a bit pricey since we were a big group, but it was absolutely worth it. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and a fantastic way to fuel up before heading out on our cruise!

I never give reviews usually but this time I will to express my disappointment regarding the service I received at Smoke Duck in Icy Strait Point. During my recent visit, I had to wait over one hour just for a burger meal, which I feel is unreasonably long.
While I understand that delays can happen during busy times, there was little communication or apology from the staff, which made the experience even more frustrating. They just told us that our receipt was gone which causes the delay. Their supervisor came into our table apologizing but not facing us which is more insulting.
Before I always recommend this restaurant to all crew in the cruiseline that im working with every time we visit icy straight point alaska but now I will never ever recommend or visit this restaurant anymore I felt like the staffs were racist first because we are asian second because they knew that we are also crew. Very very disappointing.

It’s non offensive bar and grill food. It’s definitely a place to enjoy a beer, sit, and have some eats. It’s a welcome flavor change from the routine cruise food that you’ve probably had for the last few days. Go for the views and enjoy!
