I went with the pan con lechón, plus sides of maduros and tostones.

The lechón was the standout!! It was juicy, deeply savory, and exactly the kind of sandwich that makes a great introduction to Cuban food. The maduros were spot on too: lightly crisp at the edges, tender through the center, and pleasantly sweet without tipping into cloying.

The only miss was the tostones, which came out a bit underdone for my taste unfortunately. They were a little more chewy than crisp, and missing that shattery crunch you want from a good double-fry.

Cuban options are scarce in central Ohio, and this is an easy recommendation if you’re in the Grandview/Dublin area and want something different. As someone originally from Miami, I’ll be back. This restaurant is the closest I’ve found in Columbus to a little taste of home.

We were visiting family and found Pablo’s. Best Cubano sandwich north of Miami, heck I’d even say better than some from Miami!!! Pablo came and described each of the many dishes we ordered. Honestly, we loved the food! Well worth the visit, if you’re nearby, you gotta try the Cubano!!! Thank you Pablo and crew for a great meal!!!

Had the Cuban with fries. Is reasonably priced at $12 and half off for happy hour. Was pretty good, and would consider again if I was in the area and in the mood for a Cuban.

The food here is really good, and I think far better than the 3.7 rating they currently have on 12/16/24. The soup was hardy and delicious, the empanadas could have a little more filling, and the Ropa Viaje was flavorful and very good quality and quantity.

The food was incredible. This is our second time eating here. I love the maduros, white rice, and ropa vieja. It tastes like a home cooked meal. My only critique is the unwelcoming attitude of the cashier. I felt like he was not happy I was there. Outside of that, the food is worth it.

Ordered some food and while the food was okay, it was missing some flavor. No sauce, no cream, no dressing and when my wife went to ask if they had something to add to the plate, they offered mayonnaise and cholula. That’s not very latino. We noticed a couple behind us ordered some tostones and we also saw them walk to the counter and ask for some kind of sauce. They got non BTW.
After a few minutes of seeing my wife struggle to eat her dry seemingly unsalted beans and rice, I walked up to the counter myself to ask for some kind of sauce or dressing and they were looking at me as if I was asking for some unknown object or material. They offered me sour cream (an option they didn’t offer my wife, and still not very latino) and saw they had some kind of oil or chimichurri but they never ventured to offer me that. Deffinitely won’t be returning again.

I’m Cuban, this is delicious Cuban food! But with a small caveat… My family is all Cuban, from Cuba. I grew up in Miami, Florida so naturally I eat a lot of Cuban food with my family. The Cuban sandwich is as close to authentic as there is in Columbus, BUT it’s not “true” Cuban bread. It’s very close and no one would know the difference unless you REALLY know, but not the true bread. The sandwich, tostones and croquetas were delicious! Pork was good but a little bland, could use a little more citrus and salt the two times I tried it. Truly great food and makes me proud to see my culture represented so well! But the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the highway robbery prices for the croquetas. They charge $10 for 4 which is downright insulting. I’ve made croquetas many times in my life, they’re not a 30 second task but they don’t use any expensive ingredients, are not difficult to make, are not time really consuming and NOT worth $2.50 a single croqueta. Let me clarify by saying Pablo’s has some of the best I’ve ever had, but in Miami we’d get them for .25 cents a piece. Sure, we’re not in Miami. I’m willing to pay a little premium for them here, but not that much. I’d buy them by the 100 if they were 50-$1.00 a piece. It’s truly insulting to charge that much for something so simple and not a dish, but a side.

So, you should DEFINITELY try Pablo’s. It makes me proud to FINALLY have some quality Cuban food in Columbus! But Pablo’s, be more reasonable with the prices of the croquetas. More people need to have them but the price is a turn off.

The Cuban sandwich is perfect. A generous portion of meat on a good size bun. Also, I like a lot of pickle so this sandwich satisfies. Overall the taste is fantastic. I will certainly eat here again.

The Ropa Vieja was sooo good! The area is super nice, its located under a parking garage with a “market” of several different restaurants, very upscale area. I would definitely come back just to come here and eat again

Their Cuban sandwich was huge but tasted extremely sour. Their abundant turkey and fat made it more flavorful. It could be better by adding more fat and removing some pickles. The original size was big enough for two people. Hope they would have a half size sandwich.
