They offer both BBQ and hot pot options, which gives you plenty of choices depending on what you’re in the mood for. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, and the servers are incredibly kind and attentive.
My favorite server is Ari, and Octa is also always so friendly and welcoming—both of them serve with genuine smiles. You can really feel the warm, family-like atmosphere among the staff, which makes the dining experience even more special.
Don’t forget to try the toro beef—it’s a must! They also have a wide variety of à la carte options. I personally love the kimchi soup. And for dessert, the brown sugar rice cake is daebak—so good and absolutely delicious!
Of course, we will definitely come back whenever we’re passing through Memphis or Southaven. Highly recommended!
Ordered the all-you-can-eat, and the appetizers came first with 10-20 minute delay in receiving our meat. Given that we get only 2 hours for the all-you-can-eat, but it takes 15 minutes to receive the meat and another 15 minutes to cook = 30 minutes before first bite of steak, which is significantly slower than its competitors, like 901 hot pot, which serves you meat within 5 minutes of serving. To me, that is not an honest business.
Most importantly, the food weren’t that impressive. The pork belly was good; briskets were not as juicy as advertised. Fried rice was good but nothing that will blow your mind, like in Japan. But I did enjoy the type of Japanese grill they used to give that flame flavor to beef steaks. Overall, 3/5 is an appropriate score, as the restaurant either needs more improvement in their service and food quality or has gone down in quality.
Only criticism is the lack of lettuce leaves for samgyupsal style eating
Note: It is important to say that if you pay for “all you can eat”, and leave food, you will be charged $13 dollars.
Here it goes… was greeted by J, super cool dude that explained the entire experience I was about to encounter. Opened the menu, lots of options to say the least. I ordered Filet Mignon, Mushrooms, Zucchini, and Pineapple. I after taking my order pointed me to the sauce bar, decided to go and grab cilantro, sweet chili and some fruit: cantaloupe and orange, nothing crazy.
Back to my table and then all of a sudden this mobile table approaches me with everything I ordered! I was blown away on how beautifully presented everything was, wow! Now it’s Valdi on the grill, let’s go! Placed all my plates on the table, assisted by J, grill was fired up and the cooking began! Guys, I encourage you all to give this place a try! What a wonderful experience, needless to say, I gobbled everything lol I need to find those exact tongs, grabbing the food from the grill was a breeze.
For dessert I had Green Tea ice cream, surprisingly was very good!
I was amazed at the bar area, lots of lights but very classy to say the least. The place accommodates large groups, has a private section and everything. The sitting area is tall for privacy to cook your own meal.
This is absolutely a Valdi approved joint!
