Atmosphere was nice, the food was not great for the prices they are charging. my husband’s pork chop was good, but the sides were not. he ordered a side Caesar salad and he said it was food but it was an entre size not side. I had the steak sandwich and it was terrible. there was more bread than steak. and the steak was chopped so small it was almost like ground beef and the onions all mixed in like sloppy Joe’s. the frozen French fries were ok but for $25 not worth the money at all. Our server is what made our experience unpleasant. Her name is Teshawn, she acted as if we were an inconvenience, she was very short with us , with some very fake pleasantries sprinkled in. This place could be really good and I dont mind paying prices like this if the food, service and atmosphere are all in point.

Had an amazing experience at The Players Pub thanks to our server, Kevin. He was incredibly personable and made us feel welcome right from the start. His recommendations were spot on — you can tell he really knows the menu and cares about making sure guests have a great time inside and outside of the restaurant. Kevin’s energy and attentiveness turned a good afternoon into a great one. Definitely ask for him if you go — he’s a solid part of what makes this place special!

A great place for a quick bite and drinks, or a nice meal. A little pricy but worth the money. Really friendly staff and exceptional service, plus a variety of options for seating. Really just a great all around pub!

The food and atmosphere were good however the service was not. What could have been a 30 minute meal, turned into 2 hours accompanied by rude service and a waitress who acted as if we were a complete inconvenience to her (Teshawn). In addition to this, as a party of 6 we were charged automatic gratuity which we do not mind however on the menu it states 8 people or more and then we receive terrible service. When visiting a top resort this is definitely not the experience that you hope for. Completely disappointed.

Went there with low expectations but still was disappointed with trout (tasteless, greasy and way overpriced for what it was. Our table ordered flatbread, pretzel(good), chicken wings (nothing special) and fried pickles (interesting and good). But overall I was very disappointed .

I ordered buffalo shrimp and fried green tomatoes. It tasted prepackaged and I could not taste or even see a tomato in the too heavy panko crust. The buffalo shrimp looked beautiful, but had very little flavor. It too tasted like something from food service company. I never review, but this was too expensive to be so bad. My husband’s dinner was good, but nothing special. I am very disappointed

We ordered the grouper sandwich and it was awful. It was the size of a flounder and over fried. Our waiter Will never came back to check on us — no one else was there when we came in. When he came back with the bill said he would let the chef know of our issue. Charged the full price — we are Governor’s Club and disgusted. Never going back and will complain to the Governor’s Club….beware….

This is like a scientific test for a restaurant – if the view is nice, the building is beautiful and the service is great, how awful and overpriced can we make the food before people stop coming? Can we charge $28 for a flavorless burger patty topped with canned mushrooms and slices of bland, Americanized Swiss cheese? Can we really get away with selling a huge piece of haddock that is tougher than a flank steak? What about pulling some fried shrimp out of the freezer and tossing some buffalo sauce on them?
Because The Players Pub commits all of those culinary sins and more, yet remains full, the answer seems to be yes.
