Diven past this neighborhood bar way too many times without stopping. Glad I finally did. Sad I have not done so before. A nice relaxed setting. The food? Holy smokes was the meatball sammy tasty. Huge, but tasty. The polish was alright. Fries were fresh and hot. Good stuff all the way around.

Don’t know how the ratings are this high, it can’t be for the polish sausage, I had the worst polish sausage I have ever had in my life. I gave it a second bite because I couldn’t believe it was this bad, taste like I had grit in my mouth, I spit it out and threw the sandwich away.

For authentic Polish food you must try Big Franks Sausage. Come with an appetite because the portions are enough to share. We tried the Krakow plate that offered a taste of everything. Plus, we added more perogies so we could sample the various flavors and a cup of mushroom soup with buttered rye bread. We loved the unassuming old-school atmosphere. We are coming back for the meatball sandwich next visit.

We tried the mushroom soup, and it was delicious. We tried the daily weekend special, potato pancakes, a variety of pierogi, the cabbage and noodles, and Big Frank’s polish sausage. Our favorite pierogis were the mushroom kraut, the sweet cheese, and the potato bacon. We loved the noodles and the polish sausage. Friendly and quick service. If we are ever back in the neighborhood, we will definitely stop back in.

An old friend of mine knew I was in Hammond for the day and recommended I stop in here. I’m glad I did or I’d have missed out on some of the best Polish food I’ve ever had. It’s a hidden gem of a spot and I so recommend stopping in if you’re in the Region.
I went with a sampler platter and got 2 whole meals out of it, the potato pancake is huge and so are the galumpki. I drank a cosmo with it, which was also beyond delightful. Def check them out!

Great Polish sausage sandwich. Homemade fries that were perfectly cooked. The belly buster cold sandwich did not disappoint. The hot dog was good, but did not steal the show. Server was friendly and helpful. Next time we will try some of the Polish fare!

We accidentally found this place and are glad we did. Super friendly service, spectacular food and affordable. The pierogi sampler for $6 was a steal, “see pic” all six different and all six were unbelievably delicious. We’ll be back

Food, comfort, service, and a side of family. This place is great. While on a job out here, I found this wonderful little restaurant. Food was outstanding, fresh, hot, delicious, and home-made. Pricing was very reasonable for this day-and-age. Will totally be making it a point to go out of my way to visit here again. Go Pack Go!

Amazing staff/owner. Polish beer on tap Zywiec. Great beer, great food. Fries are out of this world crispy. Mushroom soup is amazing. 9.7 out of 10. Really want to try their pizza on Saturday or Sunday.
