We had the absolute pleasure of having Michael’s Grill cater our wedding, and they truly exceeded every expectation. Located in the heart of Carrollwood next to Tampa Wine Room, where we held our reception, they were the perfect fit for our celebration.
Joe and his team did an exceptional job from start to finish. The food was outstanding, beautifully prepared, and served with such care. Our guests could not stop talking about it and kept going back for more. Several people told us they plan to come back and dine there, which says everything.
We are so grateful for the incredible service and delicious food that helped make our wedding day so special. Highly recommend for both dining and catering your next event.

2025.07.24 We finally tried this place and glad we did. With the specials menu, they were offering 3 types of filet mignon so we tried them all. They were all good but the classic Steak Au Poivre was preferred. Michael came to our table and talked to us about the restaurant and how he just drove back from Georgia with some fresh peaches so we tried the Peach cobbler and it was delicious. Fantastic restaurant worth a visit.

My first experience here what an extreme pleasure the food was phenomenal. I had the steak and iCONCH fritters along with the escargot all the food was phenomenal. My son had a pork chop, huge delicious flavor. And our server, Megan was amazing. The service here the second to none they work as a team. Nobody waits for anything one table get served. They have as many service as they need to get everybody’s food delivered at the same time. The venue is small with amazing individual service. I would highly recommend it. Looking for a bite on my way home I found myself at Michael’s. It’s likely been 10 to 15 years since my last visit. In the plaza on N. Dale Mabry next to Black Rock, Michael’s is a neighborhood favorite with good food, quick service, a pleasant and couteous staff and plenty of free parking. Obviously, convenience like that is an asset to any business. They have since added on another dining room and still boast a great outdoor covered dining area.
The Bisque was off point today, lukewarm and with a lumpy spot of flour, just careless. The taste was good. I tried the Zuchini Sticks and they disappointed, again I think just careless or in a hurry. The potential was there but they were obviously stuck together in the fryer and pried loose and slightly over cooked. The Tower Roast Beef Sandwich was delightful. Everything about it was spot on. Pefect bread, warm, a bit crunchy but pliable, perfectly seasoned and cooked roast beef. The exact amount of Jus needed. Filled me up nicely.
Today’s mis-haps felt unusual, in the past I remember flawless performances so I do not know how frequent that is now. Memories I have include awesome sandwiches, great pasta, excellent seafood and a mouth-watering mushroom risotto.
My visits stopped when the Wine shop I frequented next door changed a long time ago. There are new owners, they are always closed when I come by and I do not know if they still have an arrangement with Michael’s. I used to buy a bottle at the shop and drink it with my meal. The food here is good and definitely worth a try. Come get ya some.

I had an overall great experience at Michael’s Grill. The atmosphere was really nice, very chill and laid-back, perfect for a relaxed meal. As for the food, it was good but could’ve used a bit more seasoning, as some of the flavors felt a little bland. That said, the service and the environment definitely made up for it. I’d still come back and try something different on the menu!

First time here, was on my way to Grillsmith but decided to try a local restaurant which I’m very happy with my decision. I had the dinner special which was fettuccine with short rib appetizer was bruschetta with mozzarella and a my wife had a beautiful steak with delicious peppercorn dressing. Service was excellent. We sat outside and other than looking at a parking lot it was nice.

Michael’s is one of the best values in the area. They offer simple, excellently executed food amidst an intimate setting that is neither pretentious nor careless. Friendly and attentive staff (our server, Megan, was great!). Our visit was to celebrate an anniversary, so we splurged a bit. However, one could have a great entree without the added items (e.g., appetizer, dessert, and adult beverage) for a reasonable price.

Great local spot for a delicious dinner. The service and atmosphere is great, definitely worth a few visits.
I went on a Friday evening and the place had a good amount of traffic. I didn’t have a reservation but thankfully they had a table available so I was able to be seated shortly after arrival.
The servers were really nice and the food/drinks were delicious. I tried their new beaujolais pork chop dish. It was very well seasoned and cooked, would highly recommend.
My wife had the shrimp pesto pasta. Her plate was delicious and served with some good quality shrimp.

My first time here. Valentines Day lunch 2026. I have discovered a Tampa JEWEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful service and DELICIOUS food. We will definitely be returning.
