I finally was able to come and try Mom’s Home Cooking in New Smyrna Beach FL. We walked in on a Saturday Morning and were greeted immediately and got a table right away. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. She went over the daily specials and got our drinks.
It’s a nice place with very good food and service.
I ordered the meat lovers omelette and added the hash brown casserole as my side (server recommended) and boy was I happy I took her suggestion. The omelette was quite good, but that hash brown casserole was fantastic. I was completely happy with our choice of eating there this past weekend and I’m definitely going back.

This small but mighty little diner is the spot to hit if you want three food to hit the spot! We were looking for somewhere to stop for breakfast and so glad we saw this place with their huge waffle sign. The parking lot and inside might be on the smaller side but the service and food is not. Even though it was packed we were able to order and eat comfortably quick. She ordered the country fried steak and corned beef hash and they delivered a super thick, nice and crispy with a gravy that filled in every crack. After just having sub par corned beef hash earlier in the week the hash here was perfectly crisp, tasty and seasoned deliciously. I had the Special “mom’s mess” and it was exactly how I love breakfast, everything on a plate with gravy poured on top and cheese! We also of course had to try a waffle and though my waste is screaming now my heart is happy! My wife has decided that every time we come through now we will have to stop because it was that good (this coming after a week long food vacation too!) Thank you for the amazing food and wonderful service, we will be back!

We were here last year and enjoyed the food and service. Today’s visit was excellent. Nice crispy bacon. Delicious home fries with tasty seasoning. My husband had pancakes and he said they were better than he remembered. The updates inside are refreshing. The quotes about mother’s add to the unique experience.

Nice little breakfast place. If you’re looking for mom and paw this is a good one. I ordered the eggs Benedict with home fries and grits.It was pretty good. My husband had the same but he had the Irish one, he liked his too. They don’t put a lot of seasoning, could be to accommodate their senior customers but they do have seasoning and condiments conveniently on the table. Mandy was our waitress, she was very nice and took good care of us. Next time I’m going to try the waffles, they look delicious.

So we were on our way to the beach and looked up breakfast places.. who doesn’t love “Mom’s Home Cooking”?? Well we stoped in and were seated right away. Order the breakfast sandwich and a BLT.. OMG it was AMAZING!! Kim was our waitress and she was very friendly and helpful, I asked to try the sausage gravy and it had too much pepper for my liking. I highly recommend this place for some really great food. I was surprised with all the waffle topping/flavors. I will definitely be back on our next trip thru here. Make sure to ask for Kim!!

The western grip is always a favorite but I have had several of the morning specials and they have all been very good as well. The breakfast quiche was excellent and the hollandaise is excellent. We enjoy every meal here. The fruit waffle is also excellent and portions are good. Service is always really good here too.
