Don’t let the reviews fool u. TRUST ME! This food is absolutely disgusting. No real Haitian would eat here. They use to be good but now all they care about is money . No love goes into the food. When I asked why the quality went down they gon talk about oh you know once you go big and open up restaurants the quality is bound to go down. Like WHAT!?? No it doesn’t have to. Haitian food in miami doesn’t do that. Do what u have to do to keep the quality, hire more people, start earlier , etc but never comprise the quality for short term revenue. The food is bad, I’ve eaten there 3 times , other Haitians have too and have had similar experience. If you don’t love making Haitian food you shouldn’t be in the kitchen.

I had the Grio meal it was so delicious with the Diri Djon Djon rice with salad and plantains. I really loved the Grio the most. The service was good but the wait can be an issue if you are in a hurry. I would definitely come again.

I only ordered a few of the sides. I was excited to support. Unfortunately the Akra was burnt, which would’ve been fine since crispy is best but it tasted sour like it went bad or super old. the plantains and chicken was fried well. Came back a second time because I wanted to give them a second chance and didn’t get a good experience again. I don’t feel like I’m getting my moneys worth for the prices. 2 pieces of chicken for $7 is actually insane lol I asked and they said it was due to the size of the drumsticks. Cashier asked if I could get an extra piece of chicken since it should be three from what I was told when I ordered and she said no. He apologized to me about it since it’s obvious the drumsticks aren’t big at all. Hopefully they fix these issues but I won’t be back to find out.

I’m Haitian, so I know good quality Haitian food — and they definitely serve some of the best. My only issue is that they only sell pate kode on Tuesdays, and only until 5:30. There have been times I’ve called before 5:30, and they’ve already run out. They really should consider making more or, better yet, offering them every day. Instead of having me wait all the way till next Tuesday.

The food was very authentic and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The service was excellent friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. You can really tell they care about both the food and the customers. I will definitely be coming back.

Choublak is exactly what Tallahassee needed in a Haitian Restaurant Their food literally tastes like authentic haitian food from back home, which is hard to come across up here. I’ve been there about 5 times in the past month & have been satisfied every single time. No complaints, chef’s kiss

Super long wait. I only ordered plantains but was surprised by the wait as it appeared there were no other customers there.
I also have to remind myself they aren’t sweet plantains.
