I was looking for a new Philly Cheesesteak place and I found it. We were immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant. Brandon went over the menu with us and got us really excited to try the food. We were not disappointed we both got the Philly Special and I added sweet peppers. I had the tea which was really good I love a strong black tea I only wish it came in a bigger glass I kept needing refills. The restrooms were really clean and this was at dinner time around 7pm. Over all we loved it and can’t wait to go back.

Everything Philadelphia memorabilia! Food was dynamo not a single bad entree! We did cheesesteak, pizza, Italian sub, root beer and beers and enjoyed the taste and ambiance! We had just walked from Austin City Limits music fest. Took Uber here. Server was great and on top of things! I grew up Chester County so this was a taste of home! Definitely dine here indoor and outdoor seating!

Looks wise great place to watch sports …food on the other hand was probably the worst I had in a long time. Drinks .. if I ask if you have Dr. Pepper and you say yes … then bring me a Dr. Pepper not some off brand or Main Root. Next your cheese steaks it was cold and full grease and when the group I was with all they can say is that the bread is good and thats all says something.

This is quite possibly the worst pizza I’ve ever had from somewhere claiming to be a “pizzeria”. The dough is so thin, paper thin, all of the toppings just slide right off no matter how you hold it. It’s floppy and like holding wet paper. There’s barely any red sauce and 6 dollops of cheese?
Maybe it’s just not my style of pizza but it’s definitely not for me.

The cheese bread was surprisingly delightful and their salads are fine.

The bartenders are wonderful as well.

Sign on door “No Cash Accepted”, but here’s the fun part: Surcharge for using a card.

Aside from this No Cash nonsense…. Service was stellar, pizza was great.

Too bad, I enjoyed myself until the scam revealed itself. I’ll never return.

I met the owner Diago aroynd town. he told me about his spot.. super nice guy.. and after glancing over the menu.. everything looked delicious.. so I had to make a stop by. I ordered the “Big Dom” hoggie sandwich and a pepperoni pizza.. which happened to be $10 since it was happy hour!! (3pm-6pm I thinks was happy hour times)… the sandwich was fresh and all the flavors blended well together not having any one flavor over powering the other.. great sandwhich!! The pizza was also really good. The crust was soft but also had a nice crunch from “char bubbles”. Pepperoni was flavorful and had chips endges.. cooked perfectly. Great pizza as well. Casual setting with a friendly staff.. and good deals for the happy hour. Ill definitely be back to check out the other items on the menu.

When people recommend restaurants, you never know what you’re going to get. Sometimes, they’re spot on. Other times, you wonder what the heck were they thinking??? Note: Maybe you wonder about my recommendations sometimes.

I am here to definitively tell you, with absolutely certainty, that Grata’s has the BEST Philly Cheesesteak in the city. With no disrespect to R&Bs and Hoody’s – I really liked their sandwiches – but Grata’s, they are the king!

My Philly boy and I visited Grata’s for lunch today, and we were greeted outside by Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers flags and a sign that said: I ❤️ Philadelphia PA.

Inside was more Philly memorabilia in a bar setting. Grata’s is definitely a bar that serves food, not a restaurant that has a bar.

We ordered three different sandwiches, including the Grata Original [cheeseteak] and the Philly Special [larger cheesesteak].

We also had to try their Italian sub because I was told it would rival the Homeslice Italian Sub that I have been touting as best in the city. And yes, Little Deli and Pizzeria has a good one too, but it’s not quite as good.

I went with white American cheese on my Grata’s Original. It was melted throughout the sandwich, so that each gooey bite was a perfect blend of steak, onions, peppers, and cheese. The cheesesteaks at Grata’s are served on Liscio’s rolls ordered directly from Philadelphia. Similar to Amoroso rolls, Liscio’s provides that perfect crunch when you take each bite.

My buddy Mike’s double meat, double cheese (Provolone and whiz) sandwhich was a beast. See the pictures for the differences between the two. They went big with a ton of ribeye meat on that bad boy. He said this is the new “go-to” place for his hometown-favorite sandwich.

Now for our other choice, we elected to go with Grata’s The Big Dom over their Brandywine Gourmet Italian because it added a fourth meat, prosciutto, in addition to the Genoa Salami, prosciuttini ham and capicola, plus Provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and oil with Italian spices.

The Big Dom is served cold, similar to Little Deli’s. The difference is that the amount of meat and other fixings on the sub is even more generous. There was a little too much lettuce on it, but once I removed a bit, it was perfect. Normally, Mike and I will add mayo on our Itlalian subs, but we forgot, and despite this omission, the sub was still very moist, and the olive oil and spice blend really shone through.

Overall, it was an exceptional visit to Grata’s. Service was perfect. If you’re a Philly guy or gal, you will love the place. Go during football season and watch the Eagles defend their title. Not a sports fan, but you love those ribeye sandwiches, run as fast as you can there. They are the real deal!

If you’re a birds fan, this is THE spot. I had the sweet heat and pepperoni pizza and they were 10/10. Portions and flavor AND ON time? Feels like I never waited for food but with a full room you should expect a MINIMAL wait. Loved every minute spent there. Get there early and you’ll have a seat. Great experience overall. GO BIRDS

Nice pizza spot with welcoming service and fresh pies. I normally stick to my pepperoni but it was happy hour so I tried the Sweet & Spicy for $10. This is a soft crust pie with a good balance of ingredients. The
sweet and spicy came through perfectly. I also tried the Philly Special which has double meat with a side of hot pepper sauce. The hot pepper sauce is amazing. The philly was good, you barely have to chew the meat. It was flavorful. Next time I’ll try the Original so I can get the veggies on there. The crust of the pizza and bread on the sandwich were both top tier. I’ll return when in the area. The customer service was great. Pro tip its an older building so the front bar area doesn’t have any cool arlir flowing. Go to the back corner if coming during the summer months there is cool air back there.
