Absolutely loved it, the ambience was reminiscent of a proper American smokehouses. The food was excellent in my opion. The portions weren’t American sized portion though, but quality of the meat and the taste was sublime. Highly recommended if you’re really into your meats. Service was top notch, there also is a dedicated area for families were the children can be children.

They really up the staff friendliness for the kids. Don’t lose that as my 4yr old is more fun than food. If shes happy I’m happy!
Food was great. I got the hog platter with a side of deep fried pickles ie… Frickles. Very tasty!
My gripes are the price and i want more fries!
Drinks wise, i’d like to see some local ales… all this fizzy stuff stops me eating and buying more!
Never had a discount for Hickorys… if you read this i’m happy to receive one to entice me back!!

Stayed nearby at the Bradford City Leeds Hotel and decided to pop into Hickory Smokehouse — I used to eat here years ago and it’s honestly a great place. The staff were fantastic and got me seated straight away. Even eating on my own, I was made to feel genuinely welcome.
Service was prompt, friendly, and professional from start to finish, and the whole place has such a warm, relaxed vibe — perfect for families and groups of friends as well. The food was outstanding, and for the quality of both the service and the meal, it felt like incredible value. Back home in Warwickshire you’d pay top-notch prices for that standard.
I didn’t catch my waiter’s name, but a special mention to Fiona who kindly asked me to complete a survey (which I did). Full credit to the whole team — I’ve already booked to come back for the rest of the week while I’m here on business. Highly recommended

Came here on a Sunday evening with our 4 year old and had an amazing time. The service was outstanding and the team made my little boy feel so special … as well as this, the food was fab and absolutely value for money. And the spicy margarita was one of the best I’ve had !! What a lovely place, I can’t believe I haven’t been before and will be back for sure! My husband is watching the Super Bowl there tomorrow and sounds like a fab setup. Thank you Hickory’s, what a brilliant team you are! ❤️

We went for a meal here and whilst the staff were lovely and helpful! The food wasnt what we hoped for. When we spoke to the manager they did refund our drinks which was a lovely gesture but my food which was supposed to be pink came out dry unfortunately

Visited Hickory’s Smokehouse in Adel and it did not disappoint! The 16-hour smoked brisket was absolutely amazing – melt-in-the-mouth perfection. We also tried the burgers and the brisket sub, all of which were packed with flavour and cooked to perfection, along with the sides and starters.
Desserts and drinks were just as good – rich, indulgent, and the perfect way to finish off the meal. The service was excellent, attentive without being overbearing, and the whole place had a fantastic atmosphere. The addition of live music from 7pm every Friday makes it an even better spot for an evening out.
Would thoroughly recommend – easily a five-star experience.

Very impressed by our family visit to Hickory’s yesterday. Staff were very attentive and friendly, making our kids very welcome. I was also impressed by the little cinema for kids to use, what a great idea. My main applause is saved for the food and drink. Actually better than our recent experiences in actual American smokehouse locations. The “Go Big or Go Home Burger” is definitely worth the money – how often does a burger actually look like the marketing photos? Everything we had was very tasty, including all the sides, slaws and sauces. I also really enjoyed my root beer float. Bravo Hickory’s, don’t go changing.

We finally tried Hickory’s in Adel for my wife’s birthday, and it didn’t disappoint. We usually go to Billy Bob’s in Skipton because Leeds didn’t have anything like it—until now. The food was really good. Three of us had the Southern Fried Chicken Burger, one had the Veggie Burger, I had the Go Big or Go Home burger, and I also had the Brisket Popcorn Bites. Another person tried the Deep South Shrimp Cocktail Tostadas. Everything was tasty and well cooked.
I had the Raspberry and Mint Lemonade, which was really nice, but I wish they didn’t do the usual trick of adding loads of ice so you don’t get much drink.
The only problems were having to ask for water three times and finding something in my Brisket Popcorn Bites that looked like a hair. They said it wasn’t hair but couldn’t say what it was, so they made me a fresh portion. Despite that, it won’t stop us coming back.
All the staff were great, and we really liked the little cinema room they’ve done. It’s a very clever idea.
Overall, a solid spot for great burgers and good food.

The staff are first class very polite and attentive. Food is spectacular can highly recommend the smokehouse platter for 2 you will not go hungry. Will definitely be visiting again.
