Upon being seated, we ordered our drinks and waited 15 mins for them to arrive. No big deal, but the waitress (Madison) dropped them off and then left for about 10 more minutes. We ordered appetizers (deviled eggs and Caesar salad). The eggs were just okay, nothing special. The hot sauce was overpowering. The Caesar salad dressing had absolutely zero flavor and tasted like just plain lettuce. The croutons were good. After finishing our appetizers, our empty plates sat for another 10 minutes before the waitress took them, and then had to wait even longer for her to take our entree order (she did not ask about entrees upon taking our appetizer order). We saw our meals sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time before receiving them. They were good, but not worth the wait or the poor service. Our waitress was not attentive AT ALL. Our water cups sat empty for the majority of our meal, only being filled once when already completely empty. The restaurant was not insanely busy, but larger parties received their drinks/meals much quicker than we did as a party of two. At this price point, we expected better service. We are very disappointed as this was an anniversary dinner and was the last night of our trip out to Utah. Cannot recommend, and if ever in the area again will not come back.

By far the best experience. I ordered the roasted sweet potato form the bar tenders recommendation and it was the best decision. The curry was perfect and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. If you ever looking for a meal that will knock your shoes off , order the sweet potatoes.

Our go-to place to take people who are visiting salt lake and one of our favorite places to eat in Utah! The atmosphere of this bar/restaurant is unmatched and they typically have some of the best service in the state.
It can get pretty busy so reservations are recommended but there is usually room at the bar or to stand and have a drink while you wait to be seated.
Best appetizers in my opinion are the brussels sprouts (AMAZING!) and the whipped feta with dill and home made chips. The burger and chicken sandwich are large portions that will guarantee to fill you up. Great selection of alcohol.

We stopped in for lunch and cocktails. The food was fresh and amazing. The fries were served hot and delicious. The steak on the salad was a little tough and hard to cut, but the flavor was good. All the cocktails were well balanced and crafted with attention to detail. Nothing was overly sweet.

Literally the best thing I’ve eaten in SLC and I’ve been here for 30 days trying a new restaurant every night. I’ve had the duck confit lettuce wraps, the bolognese and the roasted chicken. All incredible. I didn’t think there was anything delicious to eat in SLC until I found this place. Don’t miss out!

What a gem!
Cozy hideaway feel, casual but upscale atmosphere.
Craft cocktail menu has a lot of very interesting concoctions.
Great appetizers, and main courses from casual burgers to fine dining options with some delicious variations. We were in a rare (pun intended) red meat mood and had the burger and the Wagyu steak, both delicious. The Wagyu was perfectly cooked, sliced, and well presented and at 40 dollars was very reasonable. The duck they are serving looks amazing on the menu, 5 spice breast with a chicken fried leg, and I’m definitely returning to have it. The staff is pleasant, professional, and eclectically dressed in their own versions of “wear black” which the staff puts their personality into and I found charming and fun. Music was interesting and at a volume that didn’t command attention or drown conversation (which was lively, but not too loud).
My partner says the brunch is great as well, which led us to dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will be back.
Unequivocal 5 stars!

Delicious for me and my husband! He got the wagyu and they were able to make vegan Brussels sprouts, peas and a cauliflower steak! And a delicious blackberry sorbet. Our waitress was sooo knowledgeable and helpful!!

What a find! We were looking for places to have a late dinner on our last night in Salt Lake City and came across Franklin Ave Cocktails and Kitchen. The atmosphere was welcoming and elegant in an understated way, kind of like a nice speakeasy with big windows. The drinks were ok. The food, however, was outstanding. The two of us shared three appetizers and a main dish, and we were stuffed. We focused on summer fare – squashes and sugar snap peas – and the duck confit and miso cod. They were all really good, with intense and complex flavor combinations, and it was hard to pick a favorite. And if you’ve ever cooked summer squash, you know that intense flavor is not the strong suit of this vegetable. Next time we visit SLC, we’ll definitely be back!

Stopped in here from out of town, the food was utterly amazing!!! We had four different appetizers and each one was so unique and worth getting. The service is great and they had one of the best mocktail I’ve ever had in my life. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in town. I mean Even the bouncers out front who have to check your ID were not pretentious and kind lol

The food, drinks and service here are all outstanding! They have really high quality food and a great cocktail program. Definitely a whiskey bar but they have a good selection of gin and tequila too.
