Lake Tahoe Pontoons
We’ve been to the sushi pier in Lake Tahoe many times. This is our first time here. Hands-down best sushi place on the West Coast. Staff was wonderful, helpful very attentive. They have a new menu that is excellent. They have a few special items. Also that you cannot find at the other sushi Pier’s. Overall 10 star experience. We live an hour away and we will definitely be coming back more regularly

Food was good. Manager was pretty rude though. We came in with a big group of 9 which couldn’t be accommodated so we sat in 3 groups which was okay for us. When the 3 checks came we were each given automatic 20% gratuity despite not being sat together. We asked for this to be corrected, which he wasn’t happy about but did anyway. One of us had a fish allergy so we asked for her food to be plated separately. The waitress was very kind and relayed this information to the manager, and I overheard him complaining about it. Her food came on the same plate as mine with fish touching it so she could not eat it. There were more instances similar to this regarding his attitude.

This was a very welcoming establishment! You could tell that the people who work there are really comfortable and have good bonds with the regulars. Everything was made fresh, and I tried something new that I really liked. I thought that the options were great for the price point. The restroom was clean and tidy, and the parking lot was busy, but it was pretty easy to find a spot. Overall, I thought this was a great value and would love to come back.

This place used to be my favorite but not anymore.. rice is kinda a little undercooked and we usually ordered nigiri cause we loved the fresh fish but this time the fish texture is a little off, salmon is a little chewy (probably the part that they hide and show the good side on top), tuna pieces are falling apart. We didn’t get all of the order (missing unagi nigiri and calamari) we maybe come back but probably next year

Our first experience here was fantastic. We walked in based on a friend’s recommendation and waited for a spot at the sushi bar. We lucked out because our sushi chef, Ernest was absolutely awesome! He helped us decide on new things to try, and everything he put out was fantastic and beautiful! Hoping next time we come back we get him again!

After flying from Fort Worth to Reno and running around which felt like half a day, getting a rental and connecting with friends we finally decided to sit down & have a meal at Sushi Pier.
All I have to say is “WOW.” See the pictures. The fish was ALL fresh. They did not overwhelm you with sauces. The food was delicious and the texture, perfect.
All around, the atmosphere was great, the waitresses were attentive and constantly looked to see how we were doing.
The mix of being in a good ambience and great food just makes for a excellent experience.
Prices are good. For ALL-YOU-CAN eat sushi, this place cannot be beat.
