It was pretty empty when we got there and for a moment I thought it was closed and I was about to leave because nobody was there to sit us down.
The young waitress was very nice but the food wasn’t that great.
I had the risotto and it was too salty.
The pork meat was not crispy enough and made it repulsive when bitting into it.
The pesto fettuccine wasn’t bad, and we shared a tiramisu which was delicious.
The main issue I had was the abrupt way of this older heavy man who came to the table to drop the bill on the table and without even saying hello just say, “ whatever you are ready” and left.
Very rude.
There goes my recommendation for my office for their upcoming event.
Not impressed.
My companion ordered their appetizer special. The sausage could have done with some sauce, since it’s naturally dry. I like that there’s a bit of spice in it, and found it tasted better with some added freshly ground pepper. I think the spinach could have been blanched a tad more, as it was still somewhat bitter. The cheese and peppers were standard. Overall, some extra glaze or sauce for extra flavor would have been great.
The truffle gnocchi appetizer which I ordered was fairly standard and had the minimum amount of sauce. It was good, but not great.
For the mains, I’m afraid there just wasn’t anything that really spoke to us. That may very well be our own pickiness, but the mains selection just felt rather boring for a sit-down restaurant. Some of the sandwiches could do for a quick lunch, but this is meant to be a proper restaurant rather than a cafe.
The atmosphere was nice, and the service was lovely – our servers were very friendly and attentive – but unfortunately, the food just didn’t cut it.
The food was spectacular. I had the rack of lamb. I tasted the osso buco. Tried the pasta as well. All of it was spot on, especially the meat. The service was good and the atmosphere was a click up without being stuffy. Clean, comfortable, overall a winner.
