The food was good. The atmosphere was terrible and service horrible.
The food was good but way over priced.
The atmosphere stunk. Christmas lights under sheer curtains did not hide the boarded up windows. The staff could not be bothered to seat us instead telling us “there are tables in the back” handing us our menu’s and leaving us to find our own way. In the 1 1/2 hours we were there we were assisted by our server maybe 4 times and had several attempts to waive someone down blatantly ignored. Our meals took nearly an hour to make it to the table and friends at another table gave up and left after an hour and no meal.
This was my first and last time.

Excellent Food. When I got there 2 servers had walked out and several customers were complaining about empty drinks. The pressure was high but the young manager kept it together and took responsibility for everything! As a manager myself I admire this kid – he already knows the first thing of management – responsibility and accountability. This kid earned my respect and I’ve been back since… Excellent Food again.

We randomly found this place in the middle of our roadtrip and we are so glad we did! Amazing food and our waitress was honestly the sweetest and nicest lady I’ve ever had service from. She also completely changed my opinion on red wine, thanks for the Roscato and being so interactive! She was determined to change my perspective on wine and she succeeded. They also accommodated my special needs brother and his picky palette. Thank you for not only the great service and food but also for the lovely energy. It was refreshing to have someone ask if you like wine and when you say you don’t it excited her to find one she knew I would like. I had the manicotti and we had two orders of the garlic bread it was so yummy! The hidden room was the coolest.

OMG! The food is just to die for!! Incredible! The staff is super friendly and treat you like they’re genuinely happy to see you. Chesley and Lyvonda(?) are especially friendly! The atmosphere is nice, welcoming, with a mixture of big band/ Sinatra music. If i lived in Carlsbad, I’d eat here every day. As it is, i eat here almost every time we come up here..

My sons and I happened upon this belesimo Italian cafe, on our road trip, and it satisfied our appetite!! Being Italian, the menu paired with wine choices was perfect! Presently, we sit at our table in the back room, with the Italian songs in the background, and we are pleasantly comfortable and ready for more wine!!

Table wasnt clean. Food was bland. could hear the cooks talking about video games. There was hair in my pasta. while it was fixed right away the cook came out and gave me the “hairless” Chicken Alfredo. Which was rude. i will not be going back. the dessert was the only i enjoyed and i think that was store bought.

This place is called little Italy cafe. It’s not the Albanian family that owned it. The food is good here not like before when it was a joke called Italian food. The Italian villa has been out of businesses for over two years and these people left there llc open to piggy back off the little Italy cafe. So sad.

Service was good. Food was awful. Like they took Stouffer’s and put it on top of precooked pasta. Sorry cannot recommend. Bruschetta was a super garlicky cheese bread. No Italian dressing, no ranch. Had a Caeser salad that came with no croutons. Just not good.

Great place my wife and I frequent every week. Chef Joseph really knows his way around the kitchen. Everything made from scratch and haven’t had a bad meal ever!! His pizza on Tuesdays is epic!!!

This restaurant is a gem for being located in Carlsbad, NM. Have tried 7 different entrées over time & I found each one excellent. The staff is attentive & pleasant. Also, if you want to go to a restaurant to dine & relax, this is the spot. On the menu, entrées are paired with wines & songs by the “crooners” are played, at a low volume, to enhance your dining experience.
Little Italy is a must when in Carlsbad.
I found out today that Little Italy is moving to the Cascades in Carlsbad. They’re also opening a smaller café located behind Fastenal & El Jimador.
