I went in August 2021 on my cross country road trip, in which I also planned to eat as many different burgers as I could. This was the first place I stopped and was the only burger stop I didn’t have planned out, I just ran into it. It’s pretty much the perfect classic burger, crispy, juicy, fresh. I had burgers in 7 states and this was my favorite!

I wasn’t looking for a burger but it was the only place open in Austin Tuesday afternoon, so I got one. It was delicious. The beef patty was generous, hand formed, and tasted high quality and clean.

Looking for a place to eat in Austin and considered the International Cafe until I read the horrible reviews about their ridiculous customer service and “no-masks-allowed” policy. Then stumbled across CHAMPS and good lord am I glad I did! Seriously one of the BEST BURGERS I’VE EVER HAD. The meat, the lettuce, tomatoes, bun were all so fresh and so incredibly tasty. I wish we didn’t live 285 miles away or I would make CHAMPS a regular habit! (Only bummer is they were out of fried pickles.)

Oh my gosh, the burgers were SO delicious. Super worth the stop. If you’re passing by, or able to edit your route without adding too many miles to pass this place, and you appreciate a quality burger I highly suggest stopping here for one

WOW! What a surprise!! This is a FIVE STAR burger anywhere let alone the middle of nowhere. Where in Austin on “The Lonliest Hwy” in America. Champs Burgers is a food truck adjacent to the Champs filling station and man oh man is it good!! You can get lettuce wrapped as well as traditional burger. They grind their own Angus beef and the FRIED DILL PICKLES are a must!!!! A true 5

Okay at first I was a little skeptical but holy cow these burgers are amazing.

Cooked just right, tasted really fresh. It was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had from any type of restaurant or food truck.
The fries were awesome seasoned just right and the fried pickles are done the right way! Fried spears not those nasty pickle chips!

Everything about this burger was amazing. The bun was perfectly toasted so the inside was still light and fluffy. The lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles were fresh and crisp. The cheese was thick and flavorful. The Champs sauce was bold and tasty. But the star by far is the fresh, well seasoned burger patty.
The only thing that can compete with this burger for taste is the delicious fried pickles. Make sure you pick some up!

We attended a Commissioners Meeting July 8, 2021. After it was all over and done my co-worker and I were hungry and heard that the Chevrons Burger food truck was now open. We stopped I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger on a bun. My co-worker ordered the same but she wrapped hers in lettuce. We sat in my truck and the first bite was so juicy and the flavors all flowed together. We looked at each other and said “my goodness, these are delicious.” The bun was not heavy breaded and just right. My co-workers lettuce was fresh and crisp. I would recommend to everyone that passes through Austin, NV to stop and enjoy those delicious Burgers.
