If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience in Sandpoint, Arlo’s Restaurante is the place to go. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for an evening of incredible food, top-tier service, and thoughtful culinary craftsmanship.
We started with the Artichoke Heart Francaise, which was a revelation of flavor. The burrata was an extra treat next to the tender artichoke, which was perfectly prepared. Each bite melted in our mouths, leaving us craving more.
For our main course’s, we indulged in a variety of dishes. My in-laws both had the Cioppino, which was a seafood lover’s dream. It was bursting with fresh flavors from the ocean, featuring a very generous mix of mussels, scallops, shrimp, clams and calamari in a fragrant, tomato-based broth. It is a generous serving – hearty yet refined, with just the right balance of spice and acidity.
My husband couldn’t stop raving about The Penne alla Panna with Sausage. The creamy, velvety sauce clung to the perfectly cooked pasta, and the sausage added a savory depth that elevated the dish to pure comfort-food bliss. The dish was a very generous portion. My husband is thrilled he gets to eat his leftovers today!
Being gluten intolerant with an onion allergy is usually a challenge. However, what set the evening apart was the personal touch from the incredibly talented chef, who curated a special gluten-free scallops dish just for me. The seared scallops were absolute perfection – caramelized on the outside, tender and buttery on the inside – paired with a medley of mushrooms that added an earthy, umami richness. It was a dish crafted with thoughtfulness and care, showcasing the chef’s dedication to accommodating all guests without compromising on flavor or presentation.
Beyond the food, the service was impeccable. The chef himself checked in throughout the evening, ensuring every detail was just right and making us feel like honored guests in his kitchen. This level of hospitality made the evening all the more special.

The food was amazing. I’m not sure how they make it. I mean.. , pasta, garlic bread..what?.. and leave without feeling 5lbs heavier and No food coma!(That’s a good thing! And My pants still fit! Lol) Service was great and I will say, you won’t walk away hungry. Definitely my overall choice to go, especially if you’re hungry for great Italian food.

They hit it out of the park!!! We were told that our past experience must have been an anomaly… After speaking with quite a few friends and Arlos getting rave reviews we decided to try again… Only regret I have is not coming back sooner!!! The fettuccine Alfredo is absolutely perfect! Service was amazing! And what a pleasant place to enjoy dinner!!!!! I can’t say it enough, come here, eat, enjoy!!! They deserve the 5 stars!!!

From the moment we walked in we had the best experience. Our server, Melissa, could not have been better. She was so personable. We felt so welcome. We felt our business was appreciated. The food was fabulous and the selection was incredible. We wish we had room for desert as the desert menu looked very inviting. It was well worth the drive from Nine Mile Falls, WA. We will definitely be back.

My husband I had a date night here and we absolutely loved it. The food was really great but the service was even better! We will definitely come back and will recommend this place to our friends. Make sure to make a reservation, we didn’t and ended up sitting at the bar but it was still worth it. The owner Lisa took care of us and she made the whole experience feel so welcoming.

The staff here is incredibly kind. We came for dinner on New Year’s Eve and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The chef even came out to check on us, which made the experience feel extra special. Our two friends who joined us loved their entrées and the wine selection. When I accidentally left my phone behind, Jesse, the chef, personally brought it to us. 100% recommend this place! The pepperoni pizza was the best I have ever had, two different types of pepperoni crisped to perfection, the crust had the best chew and char, perfect sauce simple tomato flavor. The pasta was cooked just right with a generous amount of sauce that was a savory kiss. The ambience is very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Highly recommend.

When Highschool friends Jesse and Lindsey come together fall in love they make magic in the kitchen in this small town. The customer service is unbeatable. I had the gluten free fettuccine Alfredo with chicken it was delicious. Never had the long skinny noodles like this before but they were tasty. It was cold out so the hot chocolate hit the spot.
The group I was with and kid loved the atmosphere, food, and company.
I highly recommend this place and you won’t be disappointed.

The staff was super nice and helpful. We had the Caesar salad to start, they have their own twist and it was good, but if you’re looking for a traditional Caesar it’s not here. They served me up an Italian soda, best I’ve had in years!! They also have their own bruschetta, and it was SO good. Then we got the chicken pizza, it was very good and the crust was amazing. I would have loved a bit more garlic around the edges. I can’t wait to try this place for dinner next time.
