We visited the restaurant yesterday for the first time while visiting family (this is a favorite of theirs though). I had the Claymore chicken plate and my husband had the fish and chips. Portions were huge and the food tasted great.
My only complaint was the breading for the chicken was extremely salty. I had to ask for some dipping sauce to make it more edible sine I couldn’t stomach it by itself. But the seasoning blend was great otherwise and that’s why I’m not deducting a star for the over saltiness.

My wife and I have made B-52s our go-to spot for great food. Every visit, the food is consistently delicious, and the service is excellent. My favorite dish is the Smash Burger, while my wife enjoys the sides—especially the Mac n’ Cheese, Broccoli, and the tasty House Salad. We visit several times a month and live about 20 minutes away in Denver. We always enjoy our time in downtown Newton!

Great place to eat! Nice atmosphere and a tribute was to Service Men and Women. Food was reasonably price, fresh and delicious. Our waitress and the rest of the staff were super friendly and helpful. There is a bar for drinks and live music on the weekends. We had about a 30 minute wait, but there is a nice waiting area inside, if there is room. The fried pickles were some of the best we have had anywhere.

Over the past few years this has become a goto spot for us when we’re in Newton. I’ve never had a disappointing experience. The burgers are always great, the pimento cheese is great… I do miss the cannonballs appetizer. Staff is always friendly and on point, whether it’s slow or extremely busy.

Excellent experience. Our first visit but certainly won’t be our last. Delicious fish & chips. Excellent service. After our 5 hour drive this was the perfect place to dine.

Top notch wings, fried or grilled. Both are delicious. Burgers, too. The staff is friendly and attentive, and have never failed to provide excellent service. I have been about 6 times, now, each with a party of at least 8 men. I have yet to hear a complaint! A very fine establishment, with good pricing and value.

5 Stars all around! We visited this restaurant last week (Friday) for dinner. We were greeted as soon as we entered the door. The hostess was very friendly and told us what the wait time would be. We put our name in and sat in the waiting area. The wait was much faster than the original time we were quoted (which is always a nice thing!)
They sat us at a table in the front next to the bar and live music. We were worried that the music might be too loud to enjoy dinner. That wasn’t the case at this restaurant! They have the live music volume at a reasonable level so that you can enjoy the music but still enjoy your company. The guy performing this evening was also wonderful. He played a variety of songs that everyone enjoyed.
We were waited on by the bartender (Stephen Tyler) who was phenomenal. He took the best care of us on our first visit. Anything and everything we needed was brought to us very quickly. Mind you, the restaurant was packed and so was the bar. The food was amazing and we each got something different. It is also nice that the restaurant carries a black bean burger!
Alyssa checked on us while we were still at our table and she was incredibly nice. We really enjoyed each and every person that works at B-52’s. Overall, it was a wonderful restaurant with great food, drinks, and vibes. We will definitely eat here again the next time we are in town!

This place is great. Excellent food and excellent service. The portions are huge as well. You will not leave this place hungry.
Will definitely return. Has to be one of the best spots in downtown newton.
It got very busy quick during lunch though. Get in before the lunch rush/dinner rush and you will not have a trouble being seated.

The service, food and atmosphere were great! The hosts and server were kind and helpful. The restaurant was clean and running smoothly. They seemed busy but well managed. The only complaint was I was freezing under the A/C. Thanks for a great first experience!
