We recently held a Celebration of Life for Bobby Grabowsky at Twelve Oaks, and it was absolutely lovely. The restaurant’s Gone with the Wind era decor created a timeless and elegant atmosphere, perfect for such a meaningful gathering.
We had a private room with a fireplace, and the ambiance was enhanced by a video display honoring Bobby and background music playing through the speakers—a truly touching tribute.
The food was upscale and delicious, and the service was exceptional—attentive, helpful, and genuinely caring. Every detail was handled with grace, making the experience seamless and comforting for all of us. Thank you, Twelve Oaks, for providing such a gracious and memorable setting. Thank you and your entire staff for everything!
I highly recommend Twelve Oaks for any special occasion—or simply for a relaxing everyday meal that feels extraordinary. The ambiance, service, and attention to detail make every visit memorable.
Thank you ALL!

I can’t say enough about this restaurant! It’s on our rotation for “special” restaurants for dining upstairs but we also occasionally visit the basement bar (feels like a speakeasy) where they serve the same delicious food in a more casual bar environment. The food is amazing, the chef is attentive, the wait staff and bartenders are informed and kind, and the atmosphere is hard to beat anywhere. If you know Alla Famiglia in Allentown (Pgh neighborhood), it’s a similar gem in a beautiful building in a neighborhood that’s trying to make a comeback. Be the first of your friends to discover this gem. I failed to get a picture of my food because I was too excited but here’s a general vibe of the downstairs eating area. The upstairs dining will make you feel like you walked into a set of Gone With the Wind.

We stopped in at 8:00 on Saturday evening 2/21/26 to eat in the tavern downstairs. The kitchen closed at 8:30. We were warmly welcomed and not made to feel rushed. The entire staff was lovely and made us feel like we were a burden at all. The atmosphere was all around wonderful, old world vibes. We ordered the delicious prime rib, they were out of the baked potato so the chef came up to offer us another side. When I requested french fries with gravy he personally made my gravy to order and delivered the meal personally. My only shock was that we were the only guests. It is a shame because a place with such heart and quality is an asset in a small town and should be filled as so. We are excited to check out their wing specials on Tuesdays and will be enjoying cozy date nights there more often.

Such a beautiful and absolutely delicious place to celebrate our 29th Anniversary. Twelve Oaks Restaurant was the most unique and just beautiful atmosphere. The food was cooked to perfection. My steak was like cutting butter and the risotto was just fabulous. My husband loved his crab cakes too and our appetizer of stuffed mushrooms was also scrumptious!
The restaurant has beautiful items upstairs too in their boutiques. Just an absolutely amazing gem in Brownsville.
Special thank you to Chef David for his exceptional skills that brought us to Twelve Oaks! We will be back!!!
You must try it soon! Call for reservations because everyone wants to get in for this restaurant experience, that is truly the best!

What a wonderful experience!! We ate here last night and had a great time. Everything from the staff, the atmosphere, and the food were top notch. Once you enter you don’t feel like youre in Brownsville, PA it feels more like being in the city. We will definitely be back often! I highly recommend for a nice date night or out with friends. More formal dining is available in the main dining room, but the Tavern is a beautiful space as well. Plus, there’s 3 floors of spaces in this beautiful historic house that has been totally restored.
Oh, and I must add that the cocktails were some of the best we’ve had locally in a long while. Cheers!

My wife took me to Twelve Oaks for a belated birthday dinner! The Duck was the best I ever had! My wife’s chicken was also excellent. We both enjoyed our sides, soups, and drinks. We got desert to go and it was outstanding as well. Our waitress was kind and attentive. The atmosphere is wonderful. This place is a gem! Highly recommend for a nice evening out!!

Twelve Oaks Restaurant is a beautiful surprise tucked inside a stunning historic home in Brownsville, PA. The charm of the space alone is worth the visit, but the food and service make it unforgettable. Every dish is made with care, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
Don’t miss the little shops upstairs they’re full of unique finds and add even more character to the experience. Brownsville needs more places like this. It’s a breath of fresh air and a great sign of what the town could become. Highly recommend!

Great old mansion, very relaxed atmosphere, the food was excellent. Not a fast food place a dinning experience.

My wife and I love this place. We go very often and are lucky enough for it to be nearby. The owners are very nice people, the staff is professional and the food is outstanding. I hosted a private event (30 guests) at twelve oaks for our local club and they knocked it out of the park. Everyone was treated like kings. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. I highly recommend you give this place a try! You’ll become a regular as well.

My husband and I went here for Valentine’s dinner at $100 each for salad or soup, lobster tail, filet mignon, two sides, dessert. We each got wine, a cabernet and a gewurtztraminer. I was excited about my wine because rarely is it one on the menu. Well, every time I’ve ever gotten gewurtztraminer, it has been a white wine. What I was brought was red. Since it took a really long time to get it in the first place, I just drank it anyway, even though I’m not a fan of red wine. I can’t say the salad was a salad. It consisted of about 3-4 leaves of seared romaine lettuce with a few flakes of parmesan cheese, not appetizing at all. When “our” meals arrived, the confused food runner set them down but stated, “Don’t touch them yet.” My husband proceeded to cut into his steak and stated this is not rare like I ordered. Our waitress then came to ourtable with two other plates of food and asked if we had touched the ones we had already been given. My husband said he had cut the steak. She still took his plate and put another one in front of him. She then took the other and the one he cut to the table next to us. She told them he had cut into it, and was that ok? and they still kept them! I worked in the food and beverage industry for 25 years, and that is a major health code violation! I can not believe this happened, especially in a restaurant that is supposed to be fine dining. Both of our steaks were well overcooked than we had ordered. I was in no way sending mine back, or I may have gotten a steak from another guest’s table. From what I could see, there were not that many tables and guests dining. Every time the food runner was delivering, she would just look around as if she were lost and had no idea where the food was going. This was an extremely terrible first impression for us. We do not plan on returning knowing they do business like this. The house itself is beautiful!
