My husband had the shrimp and cheese taquitos and I had the Chile Poblano en nogada. Highly recommend you visit La Posadita when visiting San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico.

Highly recommend. Our waiter was very patient and kind. The food was superb along with the view. The song came on that reminded me of something sad the past, and the waiter brought me some tissues for my tears, so sweet. You wont regret going to this restaurant.

Unfortunately I give this place a one star as they rob you on the bill: charging way more for a cocktail than what the menu stated it cost, charging my friend and I for things that we never ordered, charging a different price on the entrees than what it’s stated on the menu. If you go, I would take a picture of the menu before they take it away.

It’s been a while since we’ve been at La Posadita, so we were very happy to discover that the views, the service, and especially the food remain as excellent as ever. The front of the rooftop patio has some beautiful views of the parrocchia, but the back has even more spectacular high angle views of the western half of SMA… at this time of year, the Jacarandas are in full bloom.
The menu is mainly classic Mexican, unlike the trendy fusion menu next door at Quince. We can heartily recommend the three mains we tried: the pompano chile filled with cheese, the enchiladas de los Portales, and the shrimp tacos. Cocktails are excellent and fairly priced. Service is friendly and professional.

This restaurant has beautiful views of San Miguel de Allende. It is a very clean and elegant restaurant. Their mole enchiladas, cochinita pibil, and queso fundido with rajas is delicious. Our waiter was very attentive, often checking in on us to ask if we wanted to order something else or if our food was good. I really enjoyed the food and the iconic views of the town.

La Posadita was an unexpected surprise in every possible good way. We booked rooftop reservations for dinner same on the recommendation of a friend. Was not prepared for the view. It was gobsmacking. Food and drinks were top-level, much better than we found at more highly touted rooftops, and the service was perfect. Highly, highly recommend.
