I’m so happy I found this place! We had the Chicago deep-dish pizza with banana peppers, bacon, and pepperoni. For dessert, we had cinnamon sticks and icing. The pizza was absolutely amazing. The crust had a buttery taste, and the cheese was savory. The cinnamon sticks were my favorite! It was warm and fluffy, and the icing was light. I will definitely be back.

We discovered this restaurant while passing through and searching online for gluten free restaurants. We are certainly not used to seeing dedicated gluten free restaurants so stumbling across this place was like catching a unicorn. The selection was amazing and we loved our food so much that we ordered another meal to go to eat in our hotel room later that night. I did sadly feel like the staff was not as happy to be there as we were, but it was the week of Thanksgiving. They could have been over worked and tired. Even though the place looks like a normal little strip mall pizza shop, it is nothing but extraordinary. Visit. You won’t be disappointed.

I absolutely LOVE Tru Pizza (aka. Renee’s) and would recommend for anyone who is gluten free or vegan! You can have ELEPHANT EARS that are VEGAN and GF! I think that alone should be enough for you to be convinced, but just in case, I’ve attached photos of the extensive menu they have, as well as their Vegan/GF Alfredo pasta and the elephant ear mentioned above. If you only ever go to ONE place in your life, this should be it. And they’re 100% gluten free, so it’s the most celiac friendly place around!

We ordered from Tru Pizza Co (Renee’s Gourmet Pizzeria) for a cozy pizza night at home, and I’m so grateful for places like this that understand how to support allergy-sensitive families without sacrificing flavor.

They make things easy. Every allergen is clearly labeled on their website, and I never have to second-guess what I’m ordering—which, if you’ve ever had to manage food restrictions, you know is a big deal.

Delivery through DoorDash was quick, and everything arrived hot and well-packed. Let’s start with the deep-dish pizza—ours had vegan cheese and meat toppings, and it was fantastic. The crust was chewy but structured, full of that bready richness you rarely find in gluten-free dough. The sauce was tangy and flavorful, and the toppings weren’t just sprinkled—they were generously layered.

The chicken wrap was another win. Good texture, packed with toppings, and seasoned well. We also got their cheese flatbread, which was simple, warm, and exactly what I wanted it to be—comforting and satisfying.

The fries, though, were a miss. They were overcooked, limp, and not seasoned well. My son nibbled at them, but I wouldn’t order them again.

On the other hand, the elephant ears were a total hit. Soft yet crisp, golden, and topped with just the right amount of icing. I plan to order double the amount of elephant ears next time!

I saw that they offered gluten free but had no idea they were 100% gluten free . So glad it didn’t click for me right away because I would have walked away from a delicious dining experience. Guess I’m a gluten free dough fan because what I ordered (that was dough related) was so good all because it was so different! Enjoyed the taste and texture of the dough. I ordered both a pizza and calzone. I’m not the biggest fan of tomato sauce but absolutely loved theirs. I could eat a vat of it easily! What I didn’t enjoy were their fries and wings. The wings come naked (absolutely no seasoning at all). I’m a fan of plain wings and if you are too you will need to order one of their sauces to go on top for any kind of flavor. I also ordered loaded fries and theirs were very similar to Five Guys fries which I don’t care for at all. All in all this is a spot I am looking forward to frequenting again. Evidently, my husband as well. Once I got his pizza home and he tried it (cold) he has not stopped raving about it since. I haven’t had the heart to tell him it was gluten free. Perhaps I never will…

A Perfect Balance of Cheese, Sauce, and Gluten-Free Dough!

Tru Pizza Co truly delivers on flavor and quality. The light, crispy texture of their gluten-free dough pairs perfectly with their rich, flavorful sauce and fresh, high-quality cheese. Every bite is satisfying without feeling too heavy. And to top it all off, Yousef’s friendly service makes the experience even better. If you’re looking for a great pizza spot with top-notch ingredients and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to go!

It’s fresh and sanitary.
It just lacks flavor.
The pizza was not great for me. It was very bland. Almost school pizza tasting.
The grilled chicken wrap was tasteless… Salt and pepper would go a LONG way.
The atmosphere is clean….
They are gluten free and have a lot of options there but still …. They also seem to be garlic free …
The fries tasted burnt….
I feel robbed. 40 plus dollars wasted on food that was either inedible or just tasteless.

I ordered a chicken wrap with no tomatoes on door dash. I somehow ended up with a tomato wrap with no chicken. How does that even happen? I would expect a lot better from a place that is so allergen friendly.

Good food, meh service experience. We went here super excited because everything was gluten free and excited to try. We went on a Saturday and it was maybe around 6 pm and the place was absolutely packed. You could tell the staff was very overwhelmed unfortunately- there was nowhere to sit initially and I had to bus our own table after someone left to be able to sit down. The food took over 30 mins or so and some of it didn’t come out initially. The staff was yelling and arguing and the state of the kitchen that you could see was absolute chaos. Having worked in restaurants, I get it- but don’t give us attitude for asking for To Go boxes or something. The food was good, just took a long time to get.
