The food was freshly cooked, the service and staff are especially friendly, and the atmosphere was good. I have been there to celebrate a birthday and again as a group having breakfast. The meals are very reasonably priced and extremely large portions.
Definitely a find in Clarkston for Southern Cooking. I loved the breakfast and the banana pudding.

The breakfast here is tasty and filling. You get your moneys worth, and it’s very affordable. For a sausage (or bacon) plate with grits, cheese eggs, and toast it’s a little over $7. The grits are consistently good.

I call in the order and it’s ready in about 7-8 minutes. Never dined in, so can’t really speak to that experience. The owner seems very friendly and professional. The place always looks clean when I go.

Don’t sleep on the restaurants that are like a hole in the wall. At least give them the fair chance of checking it out. I never would have considered stopping here. I had just finished work and I was very hungry and I googled restaurants near me and this was the first thing that popped up …looking at the surroundings. & signage, It was a no, but my stomach said give it a try and I’m glad that I did.

There is actually a lot of traffic in and out of this restaurant believe it or not so to me, that speaks volumes when you have a lot of people in and out buying your food whether the restaurant is full or empty people keep coming back for more

I visited Good Times Country Home Cooking hoping for a warm, soulful meal, but unfortunately, my experience was not welcoming. While placing my order, a Chinese gentleman behind the counter abruptly walked away without saying a word. I found that to be very unprofessional, and out of respect, I chose to leave the restaurant.

The atmosphere didn’t reflect the traditional soul food vibe I was expecting, and I didn’t notice the rich, inviting aromas you’d typically associate with well-seasoned cooking. It just didn’t feel like the “home cooking” promised by the name.

I hope the owners take this feedback seriously and improve both the service and authenticity of the food experience.

This place is horrible, you can tell from the exterior of the building that the owners do not care about their business. I walked in yesterday as the President of the community revitalization foundation. I first ordered a meal and then asked to speak with the owner and manager. The counter guy who was Asian, was very rude and told me they don’t have an owner or manager. I looked around the place is not a clean business. Businesses like this only exist in our community to get our money and don’t care about the community or the customers. Please stop supporting these types of businesses, that look at our community as a money grab. And yes, I have had their food before, nothing at all to rave about at all. Nasty people and bad times and experiences every time.

I wish I would’ve read the reviews before coming here! The food is BEYOND BLAND. how can you RUIN Mac n cheese!??? These are yellow noodles baked with cheese on top. The best tasting item on my plate are yams, only because they are sweet.

I will NEVER come here again.
