I was really looking forward to trying this Mexican restaurant near my sister’s new place. The waitress recommended the fajitas, but they were a letdown. $20.99 for a single chicken portion—the same price and size as steak, while pork runs $16.99. At most places, a one-person fajita order is generous enough for two to share or one to take home leftovers for another meal. Not here. Our two-person chicken and steak combo came with just seven slices of each. Three adults left feeling like we’d split a ~$46 fajita snack.
Cheese and sour cream cost extra, with no mention upfront. The $7.99 pineapple margarita special came in a tiny glass, mostly ice, barely any alcohol.
The place itself is cute inside and out, and the complimentary chips and salsa were solid. But transparency and value were missing. With so many great options in the Tomball–Magnolia area, we won’t be back.

I have been coming here for years and I have never had an issue!!! The food is amazing and they are known for their margaritas. The staff is very kind and helpful.
They make an effort to have diffrent dietary options for those with restrictions.

From start to finish our experience at La Casa Agave in Pinehurst was excellent. The very first thing that stood out was the cleanliness of the restaurant—it’s truly impressive and immediately sets the tone for a great dining experience.
The food was superb. Every dish was beautifully presented, and you can tell there is real attention to detail in everything they do. Even the napkins were impressive! As someone who notices the small details, I really appreciated the care that went into the overall presentation.
The chips and salsa were beyond delicious, and the service was friendly, attentive, and consistently present throughout our meal.
If you’re looking for a place with great food, excellent service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere, this spot is definitely worth visiting. We will absolutely be back!

We were looking for a new Mexican food place to try and gave this one a chance just because the reviews were so good. First let me say I loved the atmosphere. Whoever painted/decorated the place did a great job. You feel like you are in Mexico when inside this restaurant. Staff was very nice and responsive. The place had plenty of room for seating and had a great outside deck area. The location is kind of in the middle of no where, but a pretty short drive from both Magnolia and Tomball. Parking was spacious and easy to get in and out of. Food was pretty good, not the greatest I have ever had but definitely good enough to go back for. The biggest compliment I can give this place is the menu was very reasonable priced and the food portions were a good size when considering the price. I will go back and try the enchiladas among other things. If you are looking for good Mexican food at a reasonable price then give La Casa Agave a chance.

Wow! Absolutely delicious every single time! I live just a few minutes away so I come here at least once a week. My FAVORITE server is ARMANDO! I usually sit at the bar (my hubby and I) and every time I walk in Armando immediately spots us and comes over with our drink order ready (Sangria Margarita & a strawberry margarita with sugar instead of salt) He’s amazingly attentive and personable. I enjoy the easy conversations that flows back and forth between the bar and our little seats. We always leave with a smile on our face and a full stomach.
Food – the food is delicious. I’ve never ordered a bad dish. I’ve tried quite a few things here and everything I’ve ordered has been ON POINT!
All dishes are flavorful, zesty, hearty, and authentic!
Absolutely would recommend to a friend, business associate and a family member.
Also TO GO MARGARITAS

I was so excited to try this restaurant because of all the food reviews, however this place was a HUGE disappointment. First we had to ask our waitress three different times about the queso order. Finally after the third time, she came back and asked what size we wanted (mind you this was 20 mins after we asked her for it and had already placed our food order). The waitress asked us twice about our food order and then had another waiter come out a few mins later to review our order. After repeating our order, it was still wrong. The waitress should have written the order down the first time instead of having us repeat it multiple times. The food was average but with the cowboy special, the hard shell taco was soggy. Then it took another 13 mins for the enchiladas to come out. It was deceiving because the plate was hot but the food was cold like it was sitting out and they reheated just the plate. The churros also have caramel inside. Overall, this place was a huge disappointment and the service was absolutely awful on all levels. I would never come back here or recommend this place.

First off as you walk up the stairs past the water fountain you feel as though you’ve transported to a small town in Mexico. The atmosphere I cannot speak more highly off then to find out the owners are the ones that did the paint job. Just such a great job . Chips and salsa and green sauce was good. I had two servers Dorian and Ivan both were just fantastic. Extremely friendly and attentive. I ordered the top shelf margarita and it was very good. Not overly strong and the sweet and sour was just right not that cheap syrupy stuff. I’m a marg-connoisseur so trust my opinion plus I was bartender for 5 years and the marg is my specialty.

We ate at La Casa Agave tonight and left frustrated.
Our party of five ordered simple meals. Three came out wrong. One never came out at all. Staff asked us multiple times to repeat what we ordered. The wait time was excessive.
Drink service failed too. Our drinks took so long that my husband had to walk to the bar and ask for them himself.
We did eat some of the food because we were hungry. Still, nothing was resolved. No one offered to remake the incorrect meals. We received only apologies. The manager said our server was in training and offered free dessert instead of fixing the orders. That response missed the point.
You expect correct food and timely service when you go out to dinner. We left feeling unheard and unsatisfied. This experience was not worth the time or the money.

I was a little reluctant when I saw a lot of gringos walking in. But it turned out to be great a great place to eat. We judge a Mexican food restaurant 1st by the taste of the salsa and the temperature of the beer. If you like hot, ask for the spicier jalapeño salsa. The beer was cold. The chips and salsa was good. Our food was excellent. The atmosphere was fun and friendly. The service was over the top. Our waitress was very attentive, and recommended a great meal. The manager was also attentive and stopped by the tables. We will definitely come back if we’re in the area.
