Absolutely amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned — easily some of the best Mexican cuisine I’ve had in a long time. The service was outstanding; everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. And the margaritas? Hands down the best I’ve ever had — perfectly balanced and so refreshing! You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes — highly recommend! ✨

We had an amazing experience at Fiesta Jalapeños in Ankeny! I ordered the avocado tacos and they were absolutely delicious. They were fresh and flavorful. My wife had the fajita quesadilla, and she couldn’t stop raving about how tasty and filling it was. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend if you’re craving quality Mexican food done right! We’ll definitely be back.

My friend and I had never been to this restaurant before, but saw their special posted on their social media and thought we would give it a try. There were not very many people there in the beginning, but we also went for an early dinner. The marg special was posted on social media. When we went to order the specials, the server and bartender had no clue what we were talking about. I showed them the post. They went to talk to the manager. When the server came back, they said they were only going to offer half of the specials that were posted… We thought that was sucky since it was the whole reason we came. We proceeded to order food. My food was pretty dry, and the portion was very small compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area (for the same price). Once they started to get busier, our server didn’t really come over anymore and we didn’t order more drinks because of the slow service and lack of following the posted specials. The atmosphere is very nice, though. The decor and seating is great. When leaving, the place was packed. Wondering if other people saw the special and actually got what was posted… Oh well! We live and learn! 🙂

We had heard of Fiesta Jalapeno’s before, but actually ended up here a little by accident today, as we planned lunch at the Best Burger in Iowa restaurant next door, but it was inexplicably closed for the day. The weather was great and the patio looked inviting so we optioned for Mexican instead.
The menu options were good and our group ended up sampling quite a few of them as the pictures will show. You will see pictures for each of the following below: Carnitas Tacos, Lobster Relleno, Spicy Grilled Burrito, Burrito Bowl Grilled Chicken & Steak, Chimichangas Supremas, Lobster Chimichanga and Chips & Salsa.
We found all of the food to be solid and above average with the exception of the chips, which weren’t my favorite. While not having any alcoholic drinks contributed, the value is quite good…as we only spent $16 per person before the tip. I loved the lively, open atmosphere and would likely return if in the area again in the future.

If you’re looking for quality Mexican food with a terrific menu, Fiesta Jalapenos is a great option in North Ankeny. Indoor/outdoor options, both great for customers, excellent interior vibe. Daily specials, and combos available for lunch & dinner at a superb price. Loved their guacamole & chips, burrito cooked perfectly, Chicken Fajita so good. Great customer service led by our server, Sebastian.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. The service was inattentive from the start—slow, unresponsive, and lacking any care for the customers.
The real issue, though, was the food. My significant other’s six year-old sibling was eating her chicken tenders and kept saying she didn’t like them. At first, we thought she was just being picky, but when we took a closer look, we realized they were completely undercooked—raw in the center. Serving undercooked chicken, especially in a kid’s meal, is beyond unacceptable and dangerous.
When we brought this to the staff’s attention, they showed little concern and didn’t do much to make it right. On top of that, the rest of the food was bland and disappointing. For the prices they charge, I expected at least edible food and basic customer service. We won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The atmosphere is outstanding, very clean, up beat and welcoming.
The staff were very friendly and attentive, with multiple people checking on us throughout our meal.
We ordered the fish tacos and chimichanga supremas. Both were very tasty and the presentation was well done.
Prices are very reasonable and overall I felt it was a good value.
Very happy to have dined here and will return in the future.

Their food is very good. I especially liked my spinach quesadillas (I wish I could have added a meat), and the soup. The soup I got I think was more of a chicken tortilla type soup instead of the azteca sopa but it was still really good and I am glad that I got it. It was really nice to enjoy a lunch with my mom in law while I was up visiting.
