Saturday we drove 90 minutes, 45 minutes each way to get a two steak and cheese pitas. This it the closest restaurant location to us since our local locations in Milford, New Haven, and North Haven have all closed we now only get to enjoy a steak and cheese pitas maybe 2-3 times a year when we travel to Rocky Hill. This was the first time that we were disappointed. We paid ($27) for two medium size portions in a pita with LTM and there was barely enough meat between both pitas to make one. Which we didn’t notice until we were home 45 minutes away. We were excited only to be disappointed once we saw our sandwich. This is unacceptable I’m just glad that we didn’t buy sandwiches for the entire family as we usually do when we drive this far we normally get 6 or 7 sandwiches. Not sure if we will be back. Sad how childhood places disappear/change. In pictures below will be our two sandwiches. Not enough for a teenager or adult to eat and be satisfied. Our pitas were thinner than our fingers. No meat… and we had to add cheese when we got home because they didn’t appear to have any cheese. If it was closer I would have returned them.

Management at this location has taken care and pride in training new employees well in all aspects of quality care, respect, and service to their customers.
Kudos to today’s server, Tyler H., who showed immediate and attentive, respectful, helpful, and accurate care to this hungry, on-site, take-out orderer, who is a longtime, though sporadic, customer.
She even thought to prompt this customer to do a cell phone “experience survey” while still in the restaurant, once all details of the order were taken care of.
Great job, Tyler!

I always have such a great experience at this D’Angelo’s thanks to Cody! He is always super friendly, professional, and makes my sandwich perfectly. You can tell he takes pride in his work and really cares about customers. Even though it was busy, he kept things running smoothly with a great attitude. Big shout-out to Cody — he makes my visits awesome! I’ll definitely be coming back because of his great service.

Got home to heat up my subs. Meat looked light. Called the manager. He said he made them and used 3oz of.meat on each half. So my husband weighed the meat and it was 2.5oz
I called back. The manager told my husband because of overhead costs they’re are putting less meat. It used to be 4oz each half.
So why don’t we get A DISCOUNT if you put less meat? He offered no compensation and said he made them perfect.

Just spent $15 on a dry Steak and Cheese sandwich! The bread was dry, the meat was filled to the back of the bread the open end was very dry like it had been sitting out all day. I couldn’t believe this is what their allowing out the door. I mean if your gonna charge that much at least make it worth it. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this location again or maybe any D’Angelo again if this is the type of product their serving. It’s sad I may never know if things turn around.

The good ol’ classic American Steak Sandwich can be found @ D’Angelos. No frills, just a good grilled cheese steak. when walking through the door, you can smell the variety of fiction that go on the grill with your steak sandwich.
The service was excellent as they take your detailed order and then immediately begin preparing it.
My #9 Steak bomb came out hot and overflowing with the grilled goodies. The first bite was so good, I felt like it would last forever.
Anytime you feel like an Authentic bonafide Cheese steak sandwich, just stop into D’Angelos on the Silas Deane Highway, right on the town line!
