The Bún Mắm Trà Vinh was very well balance between savory, sweetness, and full of umami flavors. It has all the right ingredients, although the fresh herbs accompaniment lacks some herbs. Friendly service staffs. The place is clean and bright with lots of seating space. Parking however, will be hard, especially during weekends and holidays. So plan accordingly. The menu offers other dishes as well and I will try them at another time.

I ordered Nem Rán Cua Bể and Bánh Khọt Tôm for dine-in, and Bún Mắm to-go. The Bánh Khọt Tôm was delicious—it’s a western-style Vietnamese dish, with a batter similar to Bánh Xèo. The shrimp was fresh, and it came with a generous amount of vegetables. This was my first time trying Nem Rán Cua Bể, but I enjoyed it. The filling was perfectly seasoned, and the outer layer was nice and crispy. Wrapping it in lettuce and dipping it in the sauce made it even better. The Bún Mắm had a strong, flavorful broth with a noticeable fermented fish aroma. While the toppings were a bit sparse, I can’t complain since it was only $9.99. The only downside was that the catfish wasn’t fully cooked, so I had to cook it myself. As for the ambiance, it’s nothing special—typical of many Vietnamese restaurants. Parking is limited out front, but you can also park behind the mall. Service was quick since it wasn’t their busy time.

The food was only 5/10. The restaurant looked cluttered and very dirty. The table hadn’t been cleaned before my family was asked to sit down. The fish sauce bottle was old and sticky when touched. As for the chili jar, it seemed like it hadn’t been washed, and more chili was just added on top, which was disgusting beyond description. The staff were slow and unfocused.Plus , they’re charged 3% for credit card payment. Not recommend

We’re from out of state and this is the best choice in a wide range of restaurants. Food is fantastic and serving time is in a eye blink! The nem cua be is a must try, super crunchy and tasty!

While the customer service was friendly and attentive, the food didn’t live up to expectations. On top of that, there’s a 3% surcharge for using a credit card, which feels steep.

Bad experience with this restaurant. We found a parking and this lady stopped in the middle of the row with no signal. We successfully parked our car and the owner came out with a stinky leer and told us to move. This is very unwelcome and disrespectful to their customers. If you want to be treated like an animal, you will find it at this SAIGON XUA restaurant.
