So nice to find a free standing Long John Silvers with a full menu. Awesom staff. Our food came out hot and fast. Everything was delicious. They even came out to check on our order as we were eating. It was not crowded when we were there. My wife’s only complaint was the slippery floor in the restroom.

I usually only go to Long John Silvers during Lenten season and the food is usually good. Yesterday I went and ordered a fish and shrimp platter through the drice thru. Not Good. When I got home my bag, box and napkins were soaking in grease to the point that they were soggy. I was so hungry so started eating it anyway. The rice had a horrible taste. Both the rice and corn tasted old and as though they had been reheated. The corn container was proof that they had reheated old and cold food because it being styrofoam was melted on one side. I managed to eat some of the shrimp, one fillet and the corn because I had already gotten home and was so hungry, but I had to stop as I suddenly developed the worst stomach ache I have ever felt in my life. It felt as though the insides of my stomach were being twisted.
Very bad experience. Don’t know if I will go back to Long John Silvers.

This particular location is a hit or miss. I also feel it’s important to note that I went through the drive through.
I visited this same location in Weslaco on two separate days. On one visit the food was lukewarm and appeared to have been sitting out under a lamp. The attendant at the drive through had a hard time with my order. I’m her defense it could have been a problem with her headset.
The second visit was actually quite pleasurable. The food was hot and fresh and the service was quick as well without any confusion.
For being a chain restaurant Long John’s Silver has good fish and the chicken isn’t bad either.

Went by this restaurant ( Long Johns Silver) location Weslaco,Tx and this restaurant is very Dirty. Also, the food was being prepared by the same guy being that he was outside along with another employee putting up the specials on the outside sign. You go inside it smells like sewage. Ppl need to be careful & think about eating at this restaurant everything we ordered was warm not hot. Very Disappointed & Dissatisfied Customers..

I haven’t been to any LJS in quite a while but I thought I’d give it a try again. Not good. The shrimp was rubbery and tasted like it was cooked last week. The fish was soaked in grease and the fries were limp and tasteless. Manteca City!
The service was OK…it’s hard to blame the help since they do as they are trained and told.
Another negative was the price. $11 plus for the meal was no bargain, all things considered.
UPDATE: I went today to get a couple of fish tacos. I ordered at the counter. Tacos were fine but the sewer stench throughout the restaurant was awful! Disgusting how the manager doesn’t do something about it. YUK!

This place needs to close up B4 they get sued. Second try , food was extremely greasy, hardly hot. I remember what the experience WAS! fish fillets were real, not pressed thin fish stick look alike. Hush puppies were outstanding, not now. Had to take husband to emergency due to extreme stomach pain. Never will go back
