We’ve been a bunch of times, both Grouponning and not. The staff are friendly, funny and excellent. The food is great, enjoyable and creative, while taking you were you want to go (a little French bistro). Kid friendly without being a “family” restaurant. Prices are reasonable, drink prices too. There are a million restaurants in Portland, so that fact we’ve been many times is our endorsement.

This is a great place to eat that’s just off the main roads in a little alley. It wasn’t too expensive, and it was delicious. I had the turkey club, and my girlfriend had the atlantic salmon crepe. This restaurant was also dog-friendly — at least on the outdoor patio area.

I have been to The Merry Table several times because the quality of the food is very good, I have been unimpressed by the service, however. I went there and waited 45 minutes for a Panini. My husband and I were the only customers at the time and the kitchen staff did no preparations for about 20 minutes, then the owner came out of the kitchen and sat at the bar to eat his own lunch, then went back into the kitchen and made our sandwiches. The waitress was nice, the panini is tasty, but the food was unnacceptably slow.

They served spoiled prosciutto!! Portion size of the seafood paella was ridiculously small. If I were you, I would go somewhere else. Too expensive for the size of the portions. You could also get food poisoning.
