Desert love
What a find! I was looking for a coffee shop (that wasn’t a chain coffee shop) and I stumbled onto Janey’s. It was around 5:30 on a Sunday night, it was quiet inside. Outside was a band. People left.
Another band showed up and a whole new genre of people showed up!
They have indoor seating, it’s a cozy vibe. You can hear music from the outside and it’s not too loud.
The lattes are very good, and the salad that I ordered was also very good.

Janey’s Coffeehouse and Bodega had been a staple in the heart of Downtown Cave Creek since 2010. It offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and live entertainment every night (check the events calendar on the website). Friday and Saturday evening shows usually have a $5-15 cover.
We met up with friends on a Friday night to listen to the beautiful vocals by husband and wife led band called The Sugar Thieves. It’s first come, first served with tables and chairs all over the outside patio. With a popular band, it filled up quickly, but it made it fun as we had other groups join at our table and added to a great night of friendly chatting. It was a cooler night, but the portable heaters and dancing kept everyone warm.
The menu is small, but there are a couple each of: sandwiches, soup, salads, pizza, and boards. We had a table of eight happily munching on the veggie board (veggies, pretzel, cheese, and hummus), the sausage board (meats, cheeses, pretzels) and chips and salsa. Ordering is quick service style at the bar inside.
I’ve also enjoyed Janey’s solo on a morning off work. I relaxed on a patio sofa with my book, their breakfast sandwich, and a coffee. Janey’s is a cool local spot to meet up with friends or bring out-of-towners to experience life in the Creek.

Went here for lunch with a group of 8. We had sandwiches and drinks of all kinds. Delicious sandwiches (Rueben is the best!). Fresh berries on the side! Best fruit side I’ve ever had.
IPAs, stouts, ambers on tap all perfect
Iced latte drinkers said the best they’ve had (some dairy some non dairy). Sat long enough on the patio to hear 2 musical guests. Both superb!

Janeys hosted a welcome event for our wedding and it was perfect. The team was incredibly well-staffed and well-stocked, so even with a big crowd everyone was served quickly and with a smile. Our guests loved the outdoor patio, and we got so many compliments on the food and drinks. It set exactly the right tone—relaxed, fun, and welcoming—and was the perfect way to kick off our wedding weekend. Huge thanks to the Janeys crew for making everything seamless. We’d recommend them in a heartbeat for any gathering or celebration!

Visiting from NH, this was an awesome find. Amazing people that work here and the food and drinks are excellent! The coffee is great in the mornings and the adult beverages in the evening are spot on! Also the vibe both inside the restaurant and outside on the patio are amazing!

Good food.
If You hit it right you can catch a good band. Difficult to walk through wirh all the tables. They have too many and its inconvenient to walk around and for the people sitting at their tables. Other than that recommended.

This is absolutely my most favorite place. Super cool vibe, atmosphere is awesome, food is great and I love you can get coffee or a cocktail. The live music is a great bonus. I do not live in the area, but always a great place to bring guests.

One word – Delightful. Very cute, cozy with a terrific staff. Nice people, engaging, happy and seemingly happy to be employed there. Small bar but it isn’t a major hangout, it’s more of a neighborhood kind of drop-in spot for locals. Plenty of outdoor seating. Speaking of seating I would like to take off one hundred thousand stars for the horrible stools! Do they not want people to remain more than five minutes? No idea why these stools are so popular but they are the worst.
Coffee and fancy coffee drinks, teas, full bar, limited but appropriate food menu. Healthy. Happy Hour starts at 3:00pm. Not easy to find your first time as it is off the main road and there are so many business signs it really doesn’t stand out. But once you get there parking should be fine.

Staff is nice. Vibe is fun and the live music was cool touch.. But what is with this pricing?? Its Carefree, not the Ritz Carlton. $67(after tax and tip) for 2 espresso martinis and 1 breakfast burrito??? My god. I would have been back but not for this price point…
