Our food was delicious. Some places smoked foods taste like chemicals or liquid smoke additive. Their food was authentic tasting, and the meat was tender and not dry!! The barbecue sauce tasted homemade, and I think they may make it in the house. Macaroni and cheese was wonderful! The bartender, Chris, was very helpful and super nice. The old fashion was a little too easy to drink-that could be dangerous! We will be back

Stumbled on this place for first time looking for just a beer and so glad we did. Our go-to BBQ place is up the road at FABD but this BBQ is upscale but cozy, with a definite bourbon vibe and affordable. Even the sauce was bourbon infused & excellent. We will definately be back for dinner to try the ribs & brisket which looked awesome at another table. We snacked on jumbo smoke wings & much better than FABD. PBR , 16 oz $3 and many craft beer specials. Great atmosphere & friendly service. Even the Chef brings out the food which you can tell he loves making it. Salute

My wife found the smokery on Facebook. She was excited to give this place a shot. We drove the hour to give it a try. It was $0.99 wing night. We became with 10 wings ( smoked then chared on a grill). We had the half rack of ribs, Mac and cheese, onion rings, a brisket taco, pulled pork slider, and an order of tiramisu for dessert. The food was really good. The BBQ ribs were meat, a light rub and a lot of smoke. The brisket and pork were tasty. This is a smoke heavy style of bbq.

You know it’s going to be great when you get out of your car and you can SMELL how good the food is going to be. Everyone in our party loved what they ordered: the ribs, chicken tacos, and the brisket sandwich. This brisket sandwich, y’all. It’s not just the best brisket I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever eaten – period. With just a little bit of their Carolina gold sauce, that brisket was sheer perfection. It was a great portion size and the bun to meat ratio was spot on. I’m already planning on when I’ll be coming back. These guys are barbecue pros and I don’t think you’ll find better barbecue in town.

So glad we found this place. We traveled into the Louisville area to spend the weekend exploring the local distilleries and cuisine. Very happy we found The Smokery. It was so good we ate there twice. The dry rub used on the wings is excellent. The brisket tacos are a must.

You definitely can’t help but stop and eat at The Smokery, the amazing smell alone will have you drooling before you even walk inside!!! The bbq is tender and juicy, you get the perfect quantity of tacos for just the right price! Everything on the menu is delicious, hot, and packed with flavor! The staff is friendly, management cares for you, and the bartender makes the best cocktails in Louisville! I 10/10 recommend eating at The Smokery!
