What a York County gem! This restaurant and boutique hotel is stunning, romantic, and casual. Our visit was met with very attentive and knowledgeable staff. The menu, and the food we selected, was creative, varied, well-,presented, and delicious. Bour favs included the Snow Crab Claw Fritters (a lump crab “lollipop”, and the Calamari (the capers and artichoke part of the dish was as good as the calamari itself!). We sat in the bar, but peeked at the dining room and thought it was also lovely. If you appreciate history and architecture, take time to look at the photos and decor while onsite. They even had a live piano player and some sofas and lounge seating nearby if you just stop by for a drink. My ONLY suggestion is to provide a wider cocktail menu to direct guests who appreciate a well crafted cocktail experience. Other things we enjoyed included the “take-home candy”, and the puff pastry hors d’oeuvre that showed up to sample even before we ordered! It was a lovely evening all the way around and we will return! Go check it out now (this meal experience was worth every penny, but if you want a lower price point, try a lunch or brunch visit or just a happy hour with some shareable).

I hosted a 40th birthday party here. It was absolutely stunning. We were the in Glatfelter Room and it was perfect for our group of 45. The room is decorated beautifully. The food was fantastic and the staff was professional and went above and beyond to meet everyone’s needs. They even made a special sign to go with the theme of the party!! The event planner was a joy to work with and helped things so very smoothly.

Amazing. We had such an amazing experience it got us discussing all of our travels (many!) and deciding we rank this experience in our top 5 internationally and this place is basically in our backyard! Mark was fantastic and we took every one of his recommendations and loved them all. The bang bang shrimp, the filet, the strip steak, AND the cherry jubilee were all exceptional. The atmosphere and dining experience all together was exception and we will be back asap, but may make sure Mark is there before we make our reservation. So great!

My husband took me to Table 1837 for my birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience! The restaurant is beautiful, elegant, and full of history. the perfect setting for a special night. They even offered us complimentary champagne, which made the evening extra special. Our server, Mark, was in training but did an amazing job! He was super friendly, attentive, and professional. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all fantastic. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Brandon and his team recently catered an event at our home on very short notice, and we could not have been more pleased. The setup was beautiful, the food was excellent, and we received countless rave reviews from guests at our holiday luncheon. Jayme was wonderful to work with on the menu ~ if something wasn’t exactly what we had in mind, they made thoughtful adjustments that turned out even better than we originally planned. My lady and I chose Table 1837 to have our nine year anniversary dinner. They exceeded our expectations! Everything was superb, and the service was comforting. The atmosphere made us feel very at home. We will definitely return! We ordered the 5 course feast and could barely touch our entrees, being so full and satisfied by the time they arrived. We brought two entire meals and desserts home. Table 1837, thanks for making us feel so welcome! The food was spectacular!

I love the vibes of this restaurant. It makes you feel like you are apart of history. I highly recommend the goat cheese salad and steak. I believe the lobster bisque was ordered, but it had more filling in it than lobster. That was the only downside. I highly recommend this great place.

Another lovely evening, celebrating New Year’s Eve. The staff was so helpful since my daughter had difficulty navigating the restaurant because of vision problems. They completely spoiled her! We always enjoy the food, but it’s the atmosphere and service that set Table 1837 apart.

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful dining experience!! Found this online and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting and the staff were all excellent. Emily gave us 5-star service and was enthusiastic and very sociable.
So much to say about the food. Started with appetizers, and they were delicious. Escargo for my wife and seafood bisque for me. Awesome!
The main course was more than we thought and well made. Menu is small, but everything was damn near perfect.
It’s off the beaten path and well worth the drive. If you are looking for a fine dining restaurant this is it.
