I’ve been to the Capital Restaurant so many times. I have two friends named Simon and Aaron. They’re very nice people. They’re very polite. They give you good service. They serve good quality food and their food is quite nice. They prices are quite steep and expensive but they sell good quality foods and Aaron and Simone tried to run a business and Aaron and Simone. I’ve been my friends for awhile well I met Simone in 2016. At another restaurant that he used to own called Solo Pasta and Pizza and now he’s a manager of the Capital Restaurant and Aaron he’s amazing and so is Simone. I respect them both and I give my love to both of them. God bless Simone and Aaron. I love you both as a friend Simon and Aaron Give Me Free Food

You will not find a sweeter kinder restaurant more hospitable crew than here…special shoutout to Stevie and Sen. They stayed open a little later for us to be able to get food. The pizza was fantastic…and the chef brought it out to us. We got the pumpkin pizza and the mushroom pizza. So many choices. The crust so yummy with the hot chilli oil was lovely. Make sure to try the tiramisu as it is a prize wining recipe. It lives up to it!

I’ve been to many Italian restaurants in Hobart, but even though this was my first time here, it truly amazed me. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was full of warmth and positive energy. The staff were very attentive, and to top it all off, they even offered complimentary wine after the meal as a blessing. A wonderful experience all around!

What a treat. Ate here on Saturday evening and had a great night. Our waitress, Stevie, is very knowledgeable about both the food and drink and nothing was too much trouble. Its great when a single place provides outstanding food for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I had the pumpkin gnocchi which were beautifully light and fluffy, followed by tiramisu. I highly recommend it

Had a fantastic time here! The food was delicious, atmosphere was cozy-chic, and we were treated like family while we dined. I love good Italian food, but I love an Italian dining experience more and that’s what we got from the friendly staff and proprietor.
I had the spaghetti ai gamberi which was really good. I’d recommend that with the garlic bread to dip in the sauce. (Only negative was the sparkling water was quite pricey at 10.50 a bottle and we’re used to it being free but that might be normal in Tassy.)

We had a LOVELY family meal, the staff were very friendly, and service was quick the food was delicious the atmosphere was very welcoming, and we could hear ourselves talk, it wasn’t noisy. It was our first time, and we were very impressed, and we will be returning when we next have another family gathering.
We had a baby with us though and was just wondering if maybe if room there would be a small table or bench in the bathroom that could be used for changing, I know there might not be room. But just a thought.

Lovely atmosphere for a family dinner. Exemplary service, quality ingredients for meals and drinks with excellent gluten free choices that didn’t make us feel like a hassle. Our waitress replaced empty water without prompting which was amazing and organised our starters and mains to come out in a staggered, timely manner. Very good understanding and attentiveness of service, you definitely impressed us and we recommend Capital as a must-visit location in Hobart.

The vibe is classic Italian family restaurant — warm, welcoming staff, delicious food, and attentive service. There’s really nothing to fault. If I had to offer one suggestion, it would be to add some soft furnishings to help absorb the noise, as the room gets very loud once 50+ people are all talking over one another.
