This is a great Korean sushi restaurant if you like korean style. It’s different than your typical Japanese sushi. The sashimi is really fresh. We got the combo for 4-5 people and it was enough for 6 people. The service is very typical when they are busy. We got a room by ourself so that was nice. I also love their lunch specials. My go to places whenever I am craving Korean style sushi.

Great place to enjoy your Korean style Japanese sushi. They have rooms for your family and guest. All servers are friendly and very hard working ladies. Fresh food and Japanese cuisine. I had a lunch combo A ($37). But if you try fresh fish combo ($40) you can more extra dishes.

The sashimi here was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Our three-course meal started with a beautifully arranged sashimi platter, followed by a variety of seafood delicacies, and finished with a perfectly grilled whole fish they gave us on the house ! Every bite was high quality and delicious. Highly recommend!

Every time I’m here, always enjoyed the meal. Lunch or dinner… Service is always great and the food isn’t that bad. Last time I was here, they charged my iPhone for me while we were eating last Friday. Got a nice quiet room for six and we enjoyed a nice feast with great service

I’ll start with the atmosphere. It smelled so strong of Fabuloso, you know the purple kind, gross. It was so overwhelming I could taste it in my food. Not a smell you want especially when eating sushi. The sushi was flavorless other than of course the flavor of Fabuloso. Although I did enjoy two of the little complimentary side dishes. I was offered green tea. It was brought to me in a soda cup 2/3 full and lukewarm. Food quality was very low, sushi rice fell apart easily under the nigiri. I did not see my server again until I pressed the little button and requested my check.

Came here with my family to celebrate my dad’s birthday and reserved a private room for the occasion.

We ordered the Misong Sashimi & Sushi set. While the menu doesn’t provide detailed descriptions, we trusted the selection—and it turned out to be more than enough for four adults.

Starters:

Korean porridge with sesame oil

Main Dishes:

Takoyaki

Grilled shrimp

Shrimp tempura

Corn cheese

Sautéed mushrooms

Jeon (Korean fish fritters)

Fresh vegetable and crab rolls with chojang (Korean red pepper paste)

Deep-fried fish with a light teriyaki sauce

Various Korean side dishes

Sushi & Sashimi:
We enjoyed a mix of traditional Japanese sushi and sashimi, along with Korean hwae (raw fish).

Spicy Fish Stew & Rice:
The final course, which ended the meal on a satisfying note.

We also added san nakji (live octopus) as an extra.

The fish was incredibly fresh, and our server mentioned that they receive a fresh batch of san nakji every Thursday night. It was a delightful treat, bringing back memories of my first experience with this delicacy in Korea.

For the kids, we ordered grilled mackerel and udon, both of which were delicious and didn’t disappoint.

It seemed like a busier night than usual. While there’s a waiter bell system in place, I wish the staff had been a bit more attentive. However, this wasn’t a deal-breaker, and overall, we had a great experience.

We hope to be back again soon!

My family and I go to Sushi Misong when we want to go somewhere close and that is filling.
Their sushi sashimi combos are on point!
The fish is always fresh.
The combo comes with the regular mediocre side dishes, the shrimp and squash tempura which is sooo good, the fried fish is perfectly crispy, and at the end when you’re already so full Korean fish stew that we usually take home.

My family recently took my boyfriend there and he ordered bulgogi b/c he loves bulgogi and I was pleasantly surprised it was mildly marinated and not sweet at all!

Our server was polite and not overly friendly and always there when we needed her.

Our go to sashimi place when we don’t want to go far in Duluth.

The food was amazing, I had the dragon roll and eel roll, and both were so good. My friend got the vegetable rice and it was a big portion. The total came around $54 for everything (tip included). We also got seated in a private booth room for free

Sushi Misong in Duluth is a hidden gem that offers an exceptional dining experience. The sushi and sashimi are impressively fresh, showcasing the quality and care put into each dish. The service is outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff that truly enhance the experience. One of the standout features of this restaurant is the long beltfish grill, which immediately caught my attention and added a unique touch to the ambiance. Although the location is a bit tucked away, accessible via a backdoor from the main street, it’s well worth seeking out. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for anyone craving delicious sushi in a cozy, inviting setting.

The menu offers a delightful mix of classic sushi, like expertly crafted nigiri and sashimi, alongside signature rolls infused with Korean-inspired ingredients such as gochujang vinegar sauce, kimchi, and spicy marinated vegetables. The freshness of the fish is unmatched, and each bite is perfectly balanced with seasoned rice and complementary toppings.

Beyond the sushi, the restaurant often includes Korean staples like kimbap, hearty soups, and small banchan dishes, adding variety to the dining experience. The presentation is impeccable, with every plate beautifully arranged to showcase the care and craftsmanship behind the food.
