Stopped in looking for something unique and left with a new favorite spot. The menu isn’t as expansive as some other places and yet there’s certain to be something on there for everyone. I had ordered their BBQ Bacon Burger with chips and a bowl of their Mac and cheese. I had to wait to finish the Mac and cheese at home, as the burger and chips were enough to completely fill me. The burger was juicy, cooked exactly how I requested and the BBQ sauce was phenomenal. The chips mostly just tasted like potato and pepper but they were still delicious. The Mac and cheese was the most unique I’ve had in a long time. And their lemonade tasted very fresh. I will definitely be making the trip back to taste more of their menu!

I have traveled and lived in many states, especially down south in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, and Alabama, this is the best barbecue i have ever had. The owner, who is also the chef, came out to make sure we were pleased with our meal. Top notch service and great food. I can’t wait till next time I am visiting Oscoda, I will be enjoying my meal there again for sure!

My wife and are taking a trip north along US 23 and we stopped for lunch. I may have had the best burger I’ve ever had (and I’ve had many). I had the Brisket Burger and my wife had the Sweet Caroline BBQ. This is a great place. You will not be wasting your time stopping here. Coleslaw and fries were also delicious.

Y’all, imma focus on the food with this one. Hella good! These folk over here know BBQ; done messed around and revitalized Cole slaw with spice! Went ahead and took the beans and said imma make these slap too! Someone said, let’s put a little crunch to this meat! Let’s not overwhelm them with sauces, let us slap the sauce on there for you that pairs with the meat! Y’all did your thing.

First visit to this bbq restaurant for some good ole bbq and we weren’t disappointed. We ordered the pit platter to split for the two of us. Everything was cooked fresh and was delicious. The service was kind, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was very nostalgic which made you feel like home.

We grew up in the Tawas area but have been gone for years. Came up for a family birthday party and after the sweets at the party needed some real food. The wife said let’s get some wings to take back to the hotel. After a quick search, settled on Route 23 BBQ. The smoked wings and sauces are the best I’ve ever had! You will not be disappointed!

This is an unassuming location. I thought it was not even a restaurant for several months after moving here but discovered it by chance by asking someone on the beach where they got their BBQ. expecting them to say it to came from one of the downtown places I was surprised to find out it was by the TSC. They have all the favorite meats. ribs, brisket, and of course chicken. It like going to a BBQ competition they have every meat and side you would see at a good BBQ cook off. The thing is, it’s all great, no stinkers anywhere on the menu of off menu and there are off menu items occasionally. Well cooked and seasoned every time. Sides are all delicious in the 2 years since discovering it we have been happy every time.
