Went there doubting it’d be good. And to my surprise, best parrillada I’ve had anywhere. The flavors were authentic. Most places have a tex-mex taste to them, but this place was mexico in its flesh. Felt like a bbq you’d cook at home. Service was great as well. Will definitely go back when we’re in town.

My mom wanted Cabrito, so we stopped @ Rebecca’s Mexican Restaurant in McAllen and we were very impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and authentic flavors. The food was really good and traditional. Jonathan, our waiter, was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and full of great recommendations that elevated our experience. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot for anyone craving delicious Mexican cuisine with top-notch service. My mom was extremely satisfied, so I’m happy. We plan on bringing our Houston Family for Christmas to experience this wonderful restaurant.

Entrees were salsa red and green with chips. Parents ate cabrito they said it was excellent theirs came with beans and salad. I got fish and shrimp it was very good, the bald potato was undercooked. Tea in my opinion had a bitter taste was not happy with it. Be ready to wait for your food they do take a very long time and they only have hostess and a waiter. We were there almost 2 hrs from the time we ordered to the time they brought the bill.

First time visiting this place, and greatly surprised. It was on a Saturday late afternoon.
The food was excellent, and came on a timely manner. The music played low, by Gilberto was amazing, to the point that I got up and attempted to dance with my wife on my recently operated knee. The waiters were courteous, attentive, and clearly enjoyed the work they did, as they were dancing around to the music. Will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended.

I will start by saying that the prices of the food here is exaggerated for what you get. I ordered the huevos rancheros and for $9.99 you get 2 eggs, potatoes and refried beans that’s it, the bacon was $2.99 extra.
The eggs were almost cooked over medium, the salsa for the eggs was tasty, the refried beans were delicious, the potatoes were pretty bland, the bacon was good but to much crispy for my taste.
Honestly for that price range the breakfast should include at least some meat (ham, bacon etc.) or at the very least a fried tortilla under the eggs.
The place looks really nice inside, but the prices for what you get are outrageous.

I’ve had to eat here a few times because of company. The food tastes good, but every time I eat their food, I get sick. I don’t know why, but if it’s happened multiple times, that should tell you something.

The atmosphere was casual and nice. The staff were all friendly. The Arnold Palmers were the best we have ever drank. The ice water was also refeeshing. We ordered the beef enchiladas and they tasted amazing. And my daughter and I ordered a botana for 2 that could have easily fed three. We got the mixed fajita one and it was served on a bed of bean & cheese nachos. The charro beans and the chips and salsa served before the meal were also good. The salsa could have been been hotter though.

We were not sure about trying Rebeccas because of prior reviews, but it was actually pretty good. I was expecting the ceiling to be horrendous x 5 given also prior reviews; it has history but it’s not that bad. Actually the restaurant is pretty clean. Service was kind and expeditious. Given it’s 2022, prices are good; the price fits the portions. As you see my husband ate the whole goat lol. He says it’s really good.

We had decided to come and try Rebecca’s for the cabrito. My wife ordered the rillonada and I ordered the machito. Both plates were so good and tender. We were very impressed by the food portions and flavor. We had gone to another restaurant and the machito was not nearly as good as Rebeccas. This was our first time here at Rebecca’s and will definitely be coming back. My only suggestion will be the service as far as the waiters need to be a bit more attentive to us. We had to get our waiters attention to remind him of our drinks. But other than that it was a great experience.
