As you step in you notice a difference in the atmosphere.. sophisticated.. everyone a cut above.. we enjoyed the Tomahawk Steak ( preordered), 3 of us shared it could have shared more.. it was very flavorful! The veggies were doused in butter which made the tasty as well… also had the pork loin.. then we had the key lime pie for dessert- creamy and dinner.. they had a great selection of bourbon and rye.. and everything reasonable priced for simply great food!

Easily one of the best meals I have had in the last twelve months.

Food 10/10
Ambiance – 9/10, nice casual vibe
Service – 9/10 (Our server Abby was amazing and how can you not fall in love with her Southern accent.)

This has been on my “need to try” this for sometime, for a life of me I can’t understand why haven’t been. The food was fabulous, absolutely fabulous and there was not a dish that we didn’t love.

The location is down by the shipyards, which is not the center of town or near St. George Street which in my mind are good things. I prefer to be out of the tourist areas of Saint Augustine, so this was my jam. Parking less easy in a private lot, our table is ready on time, but probably the hardest thing was making sure to get a reservation well ahead of time. So don’t be like me and make the times to try this fantastic restaurant.

Enough about my comments, you really wanna know about the food, right?

Focaccia bread, Service – fabulous, crisp exterior, soft chewy interior.
Focaccia Brea and queso – I preferred this version, the queso added so much depth of flavor. Less bread, for sure but so worth it.
Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad – are you freaking kidding me, this is one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Fresh arugula, paired with roasted beets, goat cheese, and a small red sweet peppers. I cannot do it justice so JUST ORDER IT.
Baked potato – loaded baked potato was HUGE, not sure I liked the spicy beans on top but everything else was tasty.
Green beans – perfectly prepared, delicious.
Asado Trio – great way to sample their chicken thighs (fabulous), steak Picahna (fabulous) and chorizo (spicy) and no one was disappointed.
Prime Rib – they warned me it comes out rare, but parts of mine were raw. Great flavor on the outside, and the horeseradish sauce was spectacular but the meat fell short of my expectations.
Key Lime Pie – EXCEPTIONAL.
Espresso Cake – maybe avoid this one, not very popular at our table.
Olive Oil Cske – dense pound cake taste, really good

There were three meats that stood out at our table for their spice run/marinade:
– chicken thighs
– steak Picahna
– outside of the prime rib
So if you want to hit highlights, make sure you order them and share a bit, it is that kind of place.

Dress is casual, do you will see hoodies, dresses, blazers, polos – well, you get the idea.

If you haven’t given this restaurant a visit you should! The staff, atmosphere and food are phenomenal. The food we ordered from start to finish far exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh, elevated and comforting all at the same time. The staff was accessible and above par offering suggestions and help with any questions. The atmosphere is welcoming and they give you the choice of inside or outside seating. Asado Life will be a go-to restaurant when we visit St.Augustine.

Love coming for the lunch, such a nice vibe, outdoor seating is excellent on the river,, food delicious. Love their steak gorgonzola sandwich and fries., Tender quality meat on a great brioche roll, and the salad with white vinaigrette dressing is scrumptious. So much nice variety of stuff in there! The beets were different, yellow I think, delicious. Always friendly staff, good drinks, on the Sebastian River. Nice bar outside too. We did the dinner there once, they are the real deal with their grilling over wood fire! See the tomahawk steaks in the photo!

Absolutely loved this place. Went with a large group of 10. The outdoor area was great for accommodating our group and the staff was very attentive as well. And the views right around sunset were great. Drinks were very good and food was even better. Didn’t get pictures of any of the appetizers, but we had multiple throughout the table. The provoleta cheese plate was so good, as well as the focaccia bread. For entree, you can’t go wrong with the Asado Trio. All three meats were absolutely delicious. The only thing I can complain about is that parking was a challenge, because there doesn’t seem to be enough spaces when they’re busy. Other than that, looking forward to going back.

Wonderful food! Perfectly seasoned and so tasty. A bit pricy, but enjoyed every minute of it. Super friendly staff. Nate was a great server. It did take a little long to get the food out. We were there for over three hours. On the water with beautiful views. Parking lot is a bit small.

This has become our favorite St Augustine restaurant. The staff are always friendly and professional. The food is amazing. We try something new almost every time. I love the trio and the chicken thighs are amazing. Definitely will be back many more times. We can’t wait for the one in Jax to open.

An unforgettable dining experience!

We came to Asado Life to celebrate my son’s 10th birthday, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. The atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming, and the staff made the evening feel truly special from start to finish.

My son and his friend went all in with the three-pound tomahawk steak — cooked perfectly, juicy, and full of flavor. My wife ordered the Bronzino, which was absolutely outstanding — perfectly cooked with incredible seasoning and style. I had the 36oz porterhouse with the duck fat and garlic enhancement, and honestly, it was one of the best-cooked and best-seasoned steaks I’ve ever had — and my boys and I eat steak regularly!

Everything from the presentation to the service was top-notch. If you love steak, seafood, or just an amazing dining experience on the water, Asado Life is a must-visit. Big thanks to Chef Matt Brown for helping me set this one up — this place is a true experience and an absolute must-stop in St. Augustine!

Fabulous food. We had the surf and turf. The large steak (enough for 5 people and cooked perfectly). And the lobster gnocchi. Everything was amazing and well worth the 45 minute drive from Jacksonville. The staff was amazing and the atmosphere just superb. We will be back. Recommend making a reservation.

Loved our meal. Everything in the restaurant has tons of attention. The food, drinks and decor are superb. Sat outside facing the River and even though it was chilly outside, the space heaters made the environment very comfortable!
