First I met Ted the owner really nice guy. I love ribs so he recommended the St. Louis style. When they came out it look like they were from some prehistoric animal that died 1 million years ago what a portion. They were delicious to match. Coleslaw was some of the best if not the best I’ve had. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

I was disappointed in the beef brisket dinner. The sweet potato fries were limp and soggy with grease. Yea that can happen, but when I pointed it out to management, they told me it is because they are cut fresh. I said, they should still be crispy not limp and grease soaked something is wrong. They said they were sorry. In other words that is how they make them on purpose. I couldn’t eat them and left, no resolution was offered.
The beef brisket was tasty and moist, but not as tender as brisket should be. Maybe their pulled pork sandwiches are good, I didn’t try one. I left disappointed, with no reason to go back.

Great BBQ and excellent sides. Special sauce for sale. Truly man satisfying portions. Jovial lively owner Ted and staff. Reasonable portions. Police and city workers eat here at times so u know it’s good.

I recently moved in the area and have been getting acquainted with the businesses. I saw T-Bob’s while getting gas at the gas station next door. So I went in the next day and saw all my favorites on the menu. I chose the rib tip dinner and boy oh boy. My eyes rolled back in my head when I had a taste. I ate half that evening and took the rest to work the next day. I shared them with my co-workers and they also loved them, I had to Google it so I could give them the exact address. You should go. They have brisket, catfish, burgers and all smoked. Can’t say enough, go there.

This place hands down has some of the best barbecue style food that I’ve ever had! Im in love with their pulled pork “SAMMY”… I’ll easily recommend this place to strangers, friends and family ! Let’s make these guys famous! Btw when you stop in try some of their sweet heat sauce!! You’ll thank me 😉

T – Bob’s is one of the few great barbecue houses we have in the Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, and Elk Grove Village area. The guy that runs it is a special guy who makes you feel at home the second you enter the business. The ribs are tender, all the food is good, but the sauce! OMG! THE SWEET & HEAT SAUCE IS TO DIE FOR! He should bottle that sauce. I would buy it by the case load! Absolutely worth the visit!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars!! I ordered “6 wings”. I get home there are only 3 wings in the bag. I called and I believe I was speaking with the owner. He said “if you pull them apart that would make 6 wings”. What? Why would you pull a wing apart. He thought I was stupid and tried to get over on me! I’ve NEVER heard of anything like it and will never go back there again and will never recommend to anyone!

Absolutely the best smoke house for miles around! The sweet heat sauce is perfect as are all of the sides. If you get “the Boss” ( a trilogy of smoked vertebrates on a bun) make sure that there is a portable defibrillator nearby!
