This place is sure an experience. Ot only all-you-can-eat. Went there on Christmas day because I didn’t want to cook. Waitress explained things to us but left out the fact that everything comes raw & we had to cook it on the little hot plate on the table. I was repulsed having raw chicken on the table while eating. There were sauces on a salad-type bar but it was impossible to season the food before cooking it. Everything was bland. The meal for us two was over $80.00. It was an interesting adventure but I’d never do it again.
NOTE: click pocture to see the raw food on the left & the “grill” on the right.

This is the second time we’ve been to this location, and it’s gotten worse each time we’ve gone. For both experiences, the waitresses look like they’re bothered you’re there, don’t explain anything, and barely come to check on you. So that in itself is enough to never go back. On top of that, the food doesn’t taste fresh, although there is a wide variety to try different things. It’s a lot of work to cook all of the food for our group on a tiny grill, but at least the pots boil fast. All in all, for the money you have to put down, it’s not a pleasant experience at this location

VERY DISAPPOINTED
My boyfriend and I visited Hot Pot 757 in Henrico and left after only 15–20 minutes due to extremely poor service.
Our server, Derek, spent more time on his phone than assisting us. He only came to our table about 2–3 times, each interaction lasting under a minute, and he often walked away while we were still talking—which he may not have noticed because he was already back on his phone.
My boyfriend had never done hot pot or Korean BBQ before, so I asked for help understanding the menu. The explanations we received were rushed, vague, and dismissive. When I asked about broth flavors, spice levels, and ingredients, I was told it “wasn’t important” because seasoning is done at the bar, which did not actually answer the question.
Instead of helping, Derek suggested that I explain the menu to my boyfriend, even though this was only my second time ever doing hot pot. His body language and tone made it clear he was not interested in providing service. When we asked to move tables, he pointed to another table and walked away while still on his phone, leaving us to carry utensils ourselves immediately after being seated.
When I again explained that my boyfriend didn’t understand the vague explanations, Derek became defensive instead of helpful. The situation escalated to the point where we decided to leave.
Only then did Derek suddenly show interest and walk us to the front to speak with a manager. While I was explaining the situation, Derek interrupted me multiple times. The manager offered an apology but no real attempt to resolve the issue (such as offering another server). Even the manager acknowledged that the apology likely “wouldn’t hold much weight.”
As a business owner myself, this was disappointing to see. I wasn’t seeking compensation—I simply expected basic, respectful service. Unfortunately, none was provided.
This experience was especially frustrating because a previous visit with a different staff member was enjoyable. The inconsistency and lack of accountability here made this experience unacceptable.

Stopped in here unplanned while in the area and I do wish we had come with more people to experience more of the meats and sides. (The whole table can share but portions are decently sized so we were full before trying everything. Only other thing I always forget is that Korean spicy has much more heat than regular spicy. I ordered one of the hotter soup bases and it was almost too spicy for me to enjoy and I like spicy food. Otherwise food and service were excellent.

I’ve eaten at the Hot Pot 757 on south side, where the service was much better. There, the server would explain everything to you beforehand — important if you are bringing guests who haven’t dined here before. At the Broad Street location, I asked the server to explain how the meal works, and all he said was that it’s all you can eat. Not helpful to new customers like our friends. Also, a different employee kept interrupting us to change the BBQ burner, even when it was still cooking food. We asked her to come back to change the burner, but she did not understand English. This happened 5 times. Fortunately, however, the food was excellent.

Honestly the overall experience was great. We have had hot pot before but never Korean BBQ and this place had both. You can pick either one or pay an up charge for both. Most of the table had hot pot but I decided on both. Kind of hard to manage especially since there is only one grill for the BBQ on the table and we were a party of 6 so we ran out of room on the table. Food quality was great even though one of our dinner guests didn’t like the broth she picked. They do allow you to pick another broth which is a plus. Our server was awesome and food came out pretty fast. They have a small salad bar with fruits, different salads and all your sauces. The only cons were the wait time, we were quoted an hour and they texted us our table was ready but the hostess kept seating smaller parties before she decided to seat us. The only other complaint was the soup spoon, it was more of a ladle than a spoon. It was worth the drive and wait and a great experience.

The atmosphere and service were top-notch. I tried some foods I never had before and I just didn’t care for them, like the baby octopus and the chicken foot. My friend told me afterwards you don’t actually eat the whole chicken foot just part of it. It was very crunchy. I tried one of the sauce recipes and didn’t care for that either. It was a new experience and I’m glad I tried it but it’s just not my type of cuisine.

My boyfriend and I LOVE this hot pot! The food is always delicious and flavorful. They play bangers on the speakers. The manager is also very attentive and so kind. He comes and says hello every single time!

First, make sure you give yourself enough time. Without a reservation plan for at least a 30mins-1hr wait, then the meal will take a 1-2hrs. This is not a quicknin and out. The process is a little overwhelming at 1st if you’ve never done it before. Figuring out which broth you’d like. What food to order for the broth and then which for the BBQ grill. There are a ton of options. Then you need to go to the sauce bar and figure out how to make a sauce you might like. So there’s a lot. Once you start to figure it out, it’s goes a little easier. The food is tasty, it comes raw and you cook it. There are hits and misses, but you can try things you might not have before. We had a lot of fun as a family, cooking and trying things. We sat at the bar while waiting for our tables. Service is good, not great but good, and they will try to help somewhat and explain things. Well worth trying it. What you get is worth the price, but like $30 a person. Think it would be a fun date option. We will go back,

We just came for dinner last night with a friend and had a fantastic time! It’s not a typical hot pot, which is a large pot in the middle of the table, but instead everyone has their own pot and there’s a communal BBQ spot in the middle for KBBQ for those who want to do that. My husband and I had hot pot with our two kids (3 and 4 years old – we cooked for them) and our friend had the Korean BBQ, which he really enjoyed.
They have an extensive selection of hot pot ingredients, including some of my personal favorites: lotus root, watercress, winter melon, quail eggs, and cuttlefish balls. There’s also a large selection of sauces (which I highly recommend finding a combination that suits your palate as it’s – in my opinion – a crucial part of the hot pot experience). The servings of each ingredient are a good size – not so much that you can’t finish off a portion amongst two people (though it may be a stretch for an individual)
Service was prompt and polite – our server was very timely about checking in any time we were running low on ingredients, and though we came right at dinner time (6pm), there wasn’t a long wait for food or to be seated. It was about half full when we arrived and filling up more as we left, so I’d recommend coming earlier to avoid the rush, even on a weeknight. There’s quite a bit of seating, though, like a hibachi spot, some of the larger tables are used to seat multiple parties. The largest tables can fit 10, and there’s a variety of different arrangements.
We had a great time, as did our kids, and our friend (who had never had hot pot or Korean barbecue before) and I’m already looking forward to coming back!
