We were a wedding party with a fixed menu. We had a choice of the bison ribeye with mixed veggies and baked potatoes or fries. Our salad was mixed greens or a Ceasar. To finish it off Apple pie, or key lime pie.
All of the courses were very generous.
I had the bison. It was cooked as I ordered, medium rare and was an 11 on my 1 to 10 score.
My mixed veggies were peas, carrots and squash off the chain.
The only negative comment from the entire wedding party, said their stake had too much grisel.
Great job guys . When it came to service the wait staff were great.
We will tell our friends about you restaurant.

This was my first experience at this restaurant and I’ll never return. I’m here for the holiday skiing at Beaver Creek and heard great things about the restaurant but I’ve never been asked to leave because they had other reservations and needed the table. We ordered dessert and were immediately handed the bill and asked us to leave. There was no upfront communication about a timeframe, especially after we ordered dessert. It was clear they wanted to run up the bill and turn the table with no regard to the paying customer. We stopped the manager on our way out and expressed our experience and he simply looked at us and walked away.

We have been going to gas house forever. The manager is hostile and mean. He would not stop badgering his staff to turn tables over. Food was not great. We use to love the ruby red trout now is dry and seems they are just trying to take advantage of the influx of people for the holidays. The manager just pawns his staff off to get people out. We made a suggestion to him as we have been polite and good customers. But just ignored and walked away. Wouldn’t even look us in the eyes. After they told us with 5 min left there is a 1hr and half dine time. (Which was not communicated on any reservation apps, websites, or prior to dinning). Also by looking at other reviews on here there is a common theme with this manager guy. Sad to see they keep this guy running shop.

Our visit to The Gashouse wasn’t quite what we hoped for. The atmosphere felt a bit dated, and the food didn’t seem to match the higher price point. For a larger group, it would have been helpful if split checks were an option, as that added some difficulty at the end of the meal.
Service also felt a little rushed at the end of the meal but slow while we waited. I had to find someone to get rifills on drinks. Our table was being cleared before everyone was finished, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the time together. Overall, while there were some positives, the experience didn’t fully meet our expectations.

Always amazing. Would recommend for an occasion or a date. Food is always really good. Despite the price – for what you get it’s not overpriced. Service is always really great too. One year our server broke her rib though and that wasn’t very nice to see.

I don’t usually bother writing reviews, but this experience was so bad it deserves to be called out. We had a 6pm reservation for a group of nine. By 7:25pm, my kids finally got their dessert and two minutes later the server was already handing me the check. Before my son was even halfway through his ice cream, the server came back and told us we needed to leave.
He and the manager literally stood there watching us while my kid tried to finish a dessert we had just paid for. It was uncomfortable, rude, and completely unprofessional. When I told the manager how unacceptable this was, he just stared at me and walked away.
I’ve been coming to this area for years, and I’ve never seen a restaurant treat customers like this. I won’t be back to The Gashouse unless they get new management, because the current leadership clearly doesn’t care about basic respect or hospitality.

Possibly my favorite spot in vail area. Great flavors with lots of game meats. If you haven’t had an elk steak yet, that’s a must order here. I also enjoyed the quail, jackalope sausage and the key lime pie.

I stumbled upon this place by accident, and it was the best random decision I ever made. The atmosphere is unparalleled (super rustic with many wall mounts of wild game), the service and staff are absolutely amazing, and the food is excellent! Lots of history in this building, many fun photos on the walls and tables of the historic past, excellent music, multiple TVs for sporting events, fun outdoor setting, just a super fun place.. I highly recommend!
