Coming from San Diego, I have very high expectations when it comes to tacos and birria… and let me just say — Tacos y Tortas Veronica blew me away!
Tucked inside a gas station building in Chantilly, this place is a hidden gem that’s serving up absolute fire. The birria tacos were hot, fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor. The consomé was rich and full of herbs — perfect for dipping. You can taste the love and authenticity in every bite.
I’ve been searching for three years for tacos like this in Northern VA, and this is the only spot that truly hit the mark. Everything was on point — from the tortillas to the generous amount of meat, the balance of cilantro and onion, and the variety of salsas (the creamy green one is ).

Order the #5 Chicken Sopa. It was a good size and super delicious. Definitely what I have been looking for since moving to VA. Only wish it had more cheese. I definitely will be going back to try more. Yummy!

The girls are very nice and provide good service. But there was one big problem, I bought soup and chicken. The soup was delicious, but the chicken was rotten!!! The chicken smelled rotten and was black inside, the photo shows that it is rotten inside, you can’t eat it! They sell old food, BEWARE!

I’m in charge of catering for a large group of friends. We do events very often. We try different countries food. This time we chose Mexican food. I found this small restaurant with majestic, original, typical taste. It was a general consensus that the food was amazing. Everyone ate more than one plate. Most authentic Mexican restaurant in Fairfax county. The tacos are by far the best you’re going to get if you’re in Virginia. And all the other items on the menu are authentic compared to Mexican city. And Oaxaca Mexico.

OK, it’s located inside of a gas station BUT their food is good! I always get chorizo tacos and they are right on point. Their papusas are really good too. The atmosphere is a convient store so not great but we always just order our food to go. Give it a shot, you won’t regret it
