First of all they make you wait in a queue to checkin and get your table. We waited in the queue as maghrib time was over. Finally got assigned a table after 20 mins of waiting (even though we paid online) – people jumping queues also.
Now the food. Overhyped – more catered towards kids. Paratha rolls were dry, biryani bland and many times they were out of cups for water and empty dishes. The lemonade is not lemonade, more like mango juice.
The pakoras were like pebbles and the beef sliders were not cooked all the way through (see photo).
Iftaar is all about timing, be more efficient with seating people-especially if they had paid prior. For the price it is definitely not worth it.
Never coming again.
The food was good and satisfying, though I feel some dishes could be a bit more authentic in flavor, That said, it was still enjoyable and worth a visit for Iftaar.
The Kashmiri chai with almonds and pistachios is my favorite — it comes with the nuts floating on top, so if you’re not into that extra crunch, definitely ask for it without. The food is flavorful and satisfying, great for casual bites.
Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, and an easy place to spend time without feeling rushed. Definitely coming back.
TLDR – Yes! Chai and yap!
They offer breakfast along with many other tasty options, so there is something for everyone. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and professional.
I highly recommend everyone to visit CHA Street Food, enjoy the food, and have a great day. You will not be disappointed!
I must say the hype was definitely larger than the actual experience. Their marketing team has done a good job to bring people in but I really wonder how many will be returning!
The menu on the large 85” screen is a bit confusing and I finally settled for their special which was suggested by the cashier after I stood staring at the menu for 5 minutes!
Why show items that are not being served today?
The chicken sandwich was mediocre. Although it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it lacks flavor. The sauces on it and served with it are, well, pretty tasteless. The burger on the other hand was worse than a McDonald’s burger.
I paid an extra $1 for the masala fries and turns out they just sprinkled what seemed to be Old Bay seasoning on regular fries! That’s what the extra $1 is for??
Street food it’s not! Let alone Pakistani street food. Why serve chicken sandwiches and burgers?
I was expecting more, much more, of Desi street food.
Then the heartburn!
Try it once if you must.
It also took nearly 25 minutes just to serve one burger, which makes the whole experience even worse. Definitely not worth the price or the wait.
Honestly, their regular items are better than Iftaar buffet. Pakora was very hard, Roll and sliders were not as good as their regular ones. The rooh afza drink was sour instead of sweet which I thought would be sweet drink especially where there was another sour mint lemonade. Only great items from the buffet I would say, Gulab Zamun, Tandoori/Tikka Masala chicken and Chaat Papdi.
However, This is their first time throwing Iftaar buffet option so hopefully, next time it will get better.
Their regular dishes are AWESOME except PaniPuri, but for this year (2025), I would recommend to go to different iftaar buffet places than here.
One great thing thought, they made a really nice space for prayer which I love it!
