we had never been before but we were craving a real deli hoagie so we phoned in an order for pick up. 2 italian hoagies.
we’re from philly. we’re used to a real italian hoagie. these were the saddest most underwhelming italian hoagies we have ever had. hardly any meat at all and only 2 kinds of meat. the sandwich was predominately veggies. just an absurd amount of lettuce. asked for oil and vinegar on both, one was absolutely drenched, the other dry.
service was very slow and not particularly pleasant. cash only too. had to wait for them to load the atm so we could pay for our food. same with the couple behind us.
just a really overwhelmingly underwhelming experience. we won’t be back for sure.

I loved this place…been coming here since I was a little girl, but the last 2 times I ordered my order has been wrong. Today I ordered 2 turkey and cheese and how it was prepared was not what I asked for. I took the sandwiches back and asked for them to be re made. He tried to take the dressing off the rolls and put them on new roles instead of making fresh sandwiches. When I say something about it he refused to used fresh products. I had to get my money back. Never have I ever experienced this here. Won’t be coming back. Such a shame. They’ve been around for years. Sucks that they’re service has went down hill like this.

ZERO STARS! My family has been customers @ this place for more than 30 YEARS. It was our Go-To” deli, but that has ended. What a RUDE bunch of ladies working the deli meats. Today, I ordered a pound of $11 Tavern Ham, and the woman took a small, fat covered, “heel” or “butt” of the ham from someplace other than the display case, and placed it on the slicer. The slices would have been miniscule and of different sizes. I said very politely, “excuse me ma’am but I can’t use the heel, as I need full size slices, please”. With an over the top attitude, she loudly barked, “ “WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?”. I was amazed at her quickness to jump. She obviously didn’t like being “called out” on her attempt to sell me a scrap piece of meat. I could tell the customers around me were taken aback also. At this point I found it better to simply walk out. Will never return. Heritages is my new go to deli, as I know their high turn around of meat will always mean “Freshness” @ a better price.

Love this little gem right in our hometown. Be sure to try the homemade Roast Beef and gravy. We lucked out last week and stopped by right after the roast was done. Heavenly

My fiancé and I decided to stop here on Sunday to get an Italian hoagie to split for lunch, mind you this is my first time. I go in to order the Italian hoagie and as I’m giving the lady my order and going through all the toppings I noticed that they up charge for almost everything, pickles on the side($1 and some change), peppers(didn’t catch the price but probably around the same as the pickles), and I wanted to get cooper sharp instead of provolone which there was an up charge for. I asked for onions on the side which there was no up charge but the bag they gave me with onions was almost a half of onion but no charge for that? Weird. Anyway, we get home and split the sandwich and I’m looking at the inside and everything looked good until I notice the meat, it was the smallest amount of meat on 12 inch hoagie I had ever seen. I paid $11.99 for basically a cheese and veggie sandwich, I’m disappointed and will not be back. At the prices they charge at this place they could put a little more meat on the sandwich. When I called an asked about it, the lady that picked up the phone told me the meat was pre-weighed out at .3 of a pound, spread that out over a 12 in roll and it’s a very thin layer of meat. To make it worst, there’s no capicola, and no prosciutto. there was only salami and ham in this Italian hoagie and I get prosciutto is an expensive meat but they need to at the very least put the capicola on their hoagies. That’s what makes the Italian hoagie. I could have went to Wawa and got a sandwich for half the price and just as good. The only thing this place has Wawa beat on is the quality of the cheese, that’s it. It’s a-shame because people said this place was good but supposedly now have a new owner or under new management. Staff was nice but that doesn’t change the quality of the sandwich. This was my first time here and I will not be back.
