For starters, my friend and I noticed parking can be a bit tight and limited but we promptly arrived around 6:15pm on a Tuesday night knowing they offered a special for tacos. We were served a free side of chips and salsa which we were offered a refill at the end which was honestly wonderful. Chips tasted fresh and crispy but the salsa was lacking in spice and was more of a puree than a chunky texture which I prefer. Drinks were definitely worth it, delicious, and packed a nice punch to them. I ordered 3 taco: El pastor, Carnitas, and Carne Asada. My favorite was the El Pastor because the pork was roasted to perfection and the most flavorful taco on the plate. The other two were a bit dry without any sauce but the lime and hot sauce sprinkled on carried the tacos. The atmosphere was great for a casual Tuesday night and music was pretty calm but I kind of wish there was more Latin music playing in my opinion. Overall I would consider visiting one more time to try out with a bigger group of friends.

This location has changed names several times in the last couple decades. We are glad to say we hope Lolita’s stays around a while. We had a couple sit down dinners and although the bill was a bit pricey the food was excellent. The decor is great. The service is great. The staff is super friendly. We discovered happy hour all day on Sunday and we have come several times to sit at the bar and enjoy some tasty tacos and empanadas. You can’t go wrong with delicious $6 margaritas as part of the happy hour offering. The bartenders are super friendly and more than accommodating. Definitely a place to try for some quality Mexican food.

From the bottom of my heart, I am truly grateful to Lolita’s for the exceptional service, food, and hospitality at my daughter’s first birthday party. Debbie and Lorena are two of the kindest people you will ever meet and made sure that every single detail was perfect. My guests are still raving about the food and how impressed they were (pro tip: get the Aztec ribs and your guests will thank you later.).

The party was such a huge success and I have them to thank for it all. 10/10 highly, highly, highly recommend.

The birria sliders were good but overpriced, they forgot the fries that came with the order and we had to ask for it. My boyfriend got the ropa vieja and though the flavor was good, the meat was dry. Chips, salsa, and guac were bland; and the guac was $14. We went for lunch so it wasn’t too busy and the servers were attentive. I would have given 3 stars for a very average experience, but after we left, my boyfriend and I both became nauseous – we would not come back.

I’m from Los Angeles where there is a large Mexican-American community.
Great Mexican food is everywhere.

New Jersey is nowhere near Los Angeles.
Neither is their Mexican food.

The complimentary chips (good) and salsa (not very good) were served promptly.

We sat at the bar and had beers. The bartender did his job well.

I will only discuss what I had as my companions will post their own reviews.

I had a carne asada burrito. The steak was tender. Very very lightly seasoned. This is not a good thing.

The rice was overcooked. The beans bland.

The food was a generous 6 out of 10.

But from what I’m told, around these parts, it’s considered a 10.

It’s all relative I guess.

That being said, if I ever went back it would be for a steak and beers.

My reviews are brutally honest and fair.

Have a great day!

Cute little joint, standard for the area. The cocktails and service were fantastic. Unfortunately their sangria is not very good.

I ordered the fried fish tacos which were also somewhat disappointing, pretty bland. However, I tried my friend’s shrimp and chicken dishes and they were great. The seasoned corn they offer as a side was also immaculate.

I want to give 4 stars but I can’t forgive the sangria. Would go back for the cute bar.

We has not been here in a while, now I remember why. The bartenders are more interested in the ladies sitting at the bar, our drinks were…terrible. Hermosa-tasted like pineapple juice, no vodka, certainly no spice from being infused with habanero…Aztec and New Old Fashioned, wayyyyyyyy to sweet, I appreciate the large ice cube, but I don’t need my sugar level to ring the bell. Now to our waiter, John. He has to be one of the least caring people I have ever had the misfortune to meet. Stood at one end of the table, never looked up, never a suggestion, when the last person was trying to order, he stated what he wanted, and after a minute he looks up finally and says, did you want something? My friend was like I just told you what I wanted, John looked at him and said, OH I thought you were talking to the kid. WOW, I looked at my friend and shook my head, in disbelief.
The food was all great, Surf and Turf was cooked well, it just needed something else on the plate, everyone else either finished theirs, or took it home. I do not think we will revisit this place again.
Plus parking is terrible even with Valet.

I saw this restaurant all over my tiktok and Instagram however Westwood was the closest location and it wasn’t the best. The salsa and chips were very good, the chips tasted super fresh. The waiter seemed to have a very personal relationship with regulars however rarely checked on my table. I ordered the chicken chimichanga and it was $19. It had everything inside, rice chicken etc with a little sauce. It was not crispy and had a very overwhelming unseasoned chicken taste It had chunks of shredded chicken! The birria tacos came with little sauce but were $22 for 4 tacos served with rice and beans. The inside of the restaurant was very loud and somewhat decorated.

Love the food and the vibes but it’s way too tight in here, the tables are super close to each other and you have to squeeze through to get anywhere. I think this restaurant could do with taking away some tables and chairs to make some more room. It would make walking around much easier

The outside of this restaurant is attractive and colorful and draws your attention to it. Inside is also attractive. The menu has great selections. We started with the guacamole and it was excellent. We also got the queso, quesadilla, tacos and ended with a flan. All excellent. We had a couple of well made margaritas. Our waiter jorghay was great. I heartily recommend Lolitas for great Mexican food in a beautiful place.
